Senior Chief, thanks for sharing. Please extend a hearty Bravo Zulu to your Third Class Petty Officer daughter for an outstanding straightforward heartfelt rendition of our Anthem. Big Grin

Awesome. I was almost brought to tears. It’s so refreshing to hear my neighbors’ anthem *properly sung*, without the «diva-singing» unwarranted tremoloes.

My only problem with your post is that you spelt «honour» wrong. Smile

Please tell your girl that she made this Canadian all emotional and stuff.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, I will share them with her. I asked her about all the different variations singers make to the anthem, and she said that military musicians have pretty tight regs on how they can sing it. She was very humbled by being able to perform it on such a special day.

To top it all off, we're huge Astros fans, and got to see them win in Yankee Stadium! All in all a fantastic time.
