Para, maybe a bit too personal of a question, but what do you do for a living? You are well educated, I know you have a history of work in video editing, or something along those lines, but it has me curious. My younger son is a software engineer, extremely bright but perhaps not as resilient as he needs to be. A prof at UC Davis named Normal Matloff has been writing for years about the dishonesty of tech companies claiming they can’t get American software engineers and they have to have H1B’s. Ironically it was Jeff Sessions who was the only one in Congress to make it a real issue. Most of the GOP critters continue to sell their souls to the tech companies and talk about greatly increasing H1B quotas.

Our son went to Texas in the hottest job market in decades only to see it vanish overnight. It’s quite possible he may never work again.

Para, thank you for sharing with us some of your own story; I for one will be less judgmental when I don’t totally agree with your policies.

The only moderator I’ve ever met was Circlsq. I think that was his handle. He showed up at a couple of SigForum Shoots that were held in Smoketown PA many moons ago. He spent most of his time shooting clays at the end of the range and was truly a pleasant guy to meet.

Only 4GB? My desktop has twice that. I'd have expected it to be much, much, larger.
