I bought a Rem. 700 classic in 7mm mag with my high school graduation money, I was still 17 and had to have my brother sign for it.

My favorite is my beat up, sweat pitted G19 gen2 EDC. Round count is unknown since I bought is 2nd or maybe 3rd hand. Shots very well. I can hit 10" plate at 100' more often then not. I finally upgraded the sad factory goal post sights and worn out springs this past fall. I left the connector since it been polished from thousands trigger pulls. It has given me reliable, smooth and crisp breaks for a factory trigger bar so why change it. The only other upgrade is standard Talon grip. I do not recall if I ever had a FTF or FTE with it.

I have two 1911's that are just crazy accurate. For me accuracy is the prerequisite. And while I love both, I just never got comfortable enough to carry cocked and locked. For carry it is a P365 in warm weather and an HK VP9 in cooler months. And again, it is because they hit what I am aiming at.

The PPK. It's as cool as it gets.

But for a real defensive weapon? Probably a p226.

Well, TBH, it's a toss-up between my Winchester Model 85 in .45-70 Govt, or my 1980 Parker-Hale Whitworth rifle with its wacky hexagonal bore and matching bullet.

That certainly attracts interest on the range for anybody new to the club.

I have nineteen other rifles, most of which have something interesting about them, TBH - they all have their place in my heart, especially my dad's Walther model 2, bought in 1930.

Probably my RugerM77 Hawkeye African .223 Remington. Just tons of fun to plink things at the range, using the white bead/V notch Safari sights. It’s one of the ones with the high polished bluing, not the matte finish garbage.

My FAL. Pure 7.62 goodness and a real attention getter at the range.

That is a super tough call. P220 is probably my favorite. It was my first pistol and narrowly beat out 1911's. I just love the German engineering and being a 45.
