Any mention of CTD always seems to bring this quote to mind:

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy defines the marketing devision of the Sirius Cybernetic Corporation as "a bunch of mindless jerks who'll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes,”

Bruce

"The designer of the gun had clearly not been instructed to beat about the bush. 'Make it evil,' he'd been told. 'Make it totally clear that this gun has a right end and a wrong end. Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with." -Douglas Adams

“It is just as difficult and dangerous to try to free a people that wants to remain servile as it is to try to enslave a people that wants to remain free."
-Niccolo Machiavelli

The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all. -Mencken

Did you mean "Lower than Dirt"?

My only question about them is how come they haven't gone out of business yet

I think they are on their last legs. If not dead yet. Screwing over your customers is a bad business model in any situation. I'll never shop their again and back in the day I spent quite a bit there before they started the price gouging.......

Remember, this is all supposed to be for fun...................

I had a lot of shipping problems with them back in the early 90s as I recall. They refused to ship anything unless they sent it via some way that I had to be home and sign for it. This wasn't ammo or guns, either.

Talked with their CS Reps many times (no sympathy/help at all), finally just quit dealing with them completely.

No CTD for me!

There’s no such thing as price gouging, in a free market.

Did they MAKE y’all buy anything? No? Don’t like their prices, don’t buy it.

At least they did have stuff in stock (at outrageously inflated prices), but it was in stock, whereas out of stock at other places, because “neckbeards” were buying items to flip.

I don’t generally see the hatred of CTD extended to neckbeards.

I found their actions dishonest, & don’t do business with them, as a choice.

yeah.. still nope!

After the CTD ammo price gouging I haven't even thought of looking at their website.

I would rather pay more to a more reputable company.

CTD is pretty much a dirty word around here.

There are too many other solid choices of 2A supporting, non-gouging places to deal with that I wouldn't even consider sending my money to CTD.

They really turned into dirt bags during that ammo shortage. Too bad, they had a good thing going. Several B&M store fronts that always had two deep at the gun counter and a thriving online sales section. Reasonable to good pricing on guns. Way back before 2000 (Y2K) we printed for them when I had my business. I estimated their online store was shipping around 10,000 15,000 orders per month based on the return form they included with each shipment which we printed.

Haven't even considered buying from them since the gouging and I'm surprised they are still in business.

Except the market, at that point, wasn't entirely "free," was it. Reference, for example:

That's all anybody's saying. Nobody's claiming they didn't have the right to be assholes.

My issues go way beyond any price gouging.
Price gouging online doesn't bother me as every transaction is a two-way street - so just say "NO" if you don't like the deal. Eek
In fact their customer service really pissed me off many years ago.
So never more for me. Mad

Even if all the other issues are discounted, their prices on ammo are no better than those of Midway, TargetSportsUSA or any number of other vendors.
