This morning we lost our 12 year old yellow lab, Lily. She passed peacefully, with my wife and I holding her. She was loved, and was a huge part of our family, of my life....

Knew this day was coming, mentally thought I'd be prepared. Nope, I'm a devastated mess. Once the emotions calm down I'll be fine. Many good memories and things to be thankful for....

Sorry to hear about your Lily. You have my sincerest of condolences and while a pet, those of us that are dog lovers know they are a treasured part of the family. If there's a heaven, I'm convinced all dogs do go there and she's waiting to play ball again when that day comes.

Very sorry for your loss. Dogs provide us their unconditional love and when we lose them, we feel it as deeply as we would any other other member of the family. Treasure your memories...

Our black lab passed on at 12 also. It was a sad day as he was a devoted family member. Sorry.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Lily and glad to hear she peacefully passed in your arms.

Rest assured our Bud, Wendy, and Macie will greet her when Lily crosses the Rainbow Bridge.

Sorry to hear of her passing. All dogs go to Heaven. They don't have to stop at the gate for St. Peter to see if they're on the list.

So sorry for the loss of your sweet Lily. I lost my Golden (same name) and understand all to well the pain of such a loss. Hugs to you all.

If you want to email a photo of her to me I can send you a link to put in your OP. My email is in my profile.

I'd love to post a photo but am not set up to do that currently.

Email it to me (must be less than 25MB). I'll put it up and send you the URL. You can edit your post and add it.

If it needs resizing to fit reasonably on an SF page, I'll resize it, too.

Very sorry for your loss. Think of the good times with her. Think of things she did that made you smile. When the time is right, think about a pup to fill your life with that happiness again.
