Mixed bag. I can't blame these folks for wanting to leave, and I won't blame the people who don't want them to move to their state. Lots of good folks, no doubt, but leave the liberal politics behind!

what I don't like is they love to move to Texas, raising my property taxes and turning my state purple. They made their bed in the Bay, they need to continue to lie in it.

Those of us who aren't able to leave at this point, for whatever reason, wouldn't mind if a whole bunch of people leave. But of course, those leaving will tend not to be the extreme liberal folks. Too bad....

Take some solace in the fact that most of the people leaving are the people who object to the liberal politics in CA. The people who've voted against all the liberal silliness to no avail. You're getting people who agree with your state!

Also, Texas is on my radar for when I can finally leave!!

It's a problem. Parasites do tend to find a new host when they kill off the first one....

What to do?

Actually, dividing the State might keep some of them in Cali.

The Liberal Enclaves of San Fangeles should be separated from the rest of California.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Somewhat. A lot of the Californians moving here don't quite realize how deeply they've been dipped in the shit or for how long. Honestly, they need to wait a couple of years to get reacclimated to normal life before they open their mouths or vote simply because they don't yet understand how much of the BS they've considered normal for so long isn't "just the way it is".

And hell, I consider myself sympathetic to them.

I think it's pretty safe to say that any SigForum members here in CA, are exactly the kind of people that members would want moving to their states! I've been trying to get out of this place for years, and finally have the chance now.

I won't be bringing this states politics with me, and I haven't been dipped in CA's shit for so long that I should take a hiatus from voting or opening my mouth. That's a ludicrous generalization, as it pertains to folks like us.

Please correct the topic description.
It is 50% of Bay Area residents want to leave the state. The percentages in other parts of the state may be higher.

They've already done it to Oregon/Washington...most that moved out of Cali were/are liberals. Why would anyone expect them to change, they never take responsibility for their actions and like a parasite, just move on to another resource-rich area.

I think the solution is to allow them to move, but their right to vote for ANYTHING is revoked for 10 years

they cannot export their shit elsewhere

they're not that important to the rest of the country

We'd love for you to be here.. as for your other Cali comrades - no thanks.

I don't believe that most of the 46% of Bay area residents see things the way most Texans do, and their top destination is Texas.. arghh

Exactly why there should be a 5 year cooling off period to attain state residency before you can vote (or bring in a business and cash $$$).

Sure you can vote for the Prez, but otherwise just shut up and color between the lines for awhile.

Otherwise explain the leftist takeover of states like OR, WA, CO, and what TX is experiencing. It's morons who left CA but didn't realize THEY were part of the PROBLEM with CA.

So com'on over, pay some taxes and experience freedom for awhile before you try to fuck it up again by voting and talking likes it's still CA.
