Johnny,
Take a deep breath...
It's as easy as 1,2,3 ...
1. Apologize to the owner of this forum for not answering his question. You may not have been aware of it, at the time, but you are now.
2. Resolve to follow up when you post esp. when you are the OP.
3. Put your email in your profile if you want other members to be able to contact you.

I apologize.
I will try to follow up.
My email is in my Sig line I believe.

Please change my sign up email to Haveme1@gmail.com

Thank you,

I don't have as many posts as many others here, and,
while I enjoy being a member and participating, I don't always have the time to do so. It's completely understandable if a member's personal or professional life doesn't allow them to participate on the forum. When I do have the time I tend to read more than post...I come here to read other's words more than my own.

In the years that I've been a member of this forum I've never had notification emails letting me know that someone responded to me, or to a thread discussion that interests me. I simply target anywhere from a single thread, to, say maybe, 5 or 6 threads, and then I simply come back to those threads in the hours or in the next day or two, and read what comments have been added to the thread...and if I see a question or comment that I want to or feel the need to reply to, I will.

Haveme1or2, as of this post, you have been a forum member for 1,069 days and you have 691 posts which means you have an average of 0.65 posts per day...less than one post per day posting average. Even if you went gang busters once in a while and made, say, 5 posts on one day, why would you not simply make an effort to return to the thread(s) in which you made a comment to check to see if anyone else had responded to your comment or asked a question? Again, maybe your busy at that moment, but why not come back when time allows and check whatever comments have been posted since you last checked? I mean, after all, the thread topic held enough interest for you to make the time to log into your forum account and post a reply.

It seems rather narcissistic to only care enough to post your own words without showing enough interest in what other members have to say to make the time to come back and read the comments or answer questions.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

Neither did I. That is a handy tool, but one that tells you why your thread got locked would be nice too. Big Grin

I got the sense it was poor form to ask why a thread was locked. As I recall it is at Parabellum's discretion. It could be for a standard reason or none at all. If a thread or post gets nuked or edited......so be it. After being active for a while a sentient individual can just about predict which and when a thread will get locked or vaporized. However, I have been surprised before as a thread or out of line member is allowed to continue (if temporarily) to serve as entertainment and/or example. It is all part of the fun, I think.
