Red Rock was outstanding. I will do again when I get back to LV. Probably on business in the next few years.

Gawd what a sheltered life I've lived. I didn't even know hookers handed out cards. Are they to prove you've sampled the goods or to solicit business? No, I've never been to Vegas, but my wife has (to care for her dying aunt, not as a weekend warrior.) At least that's what she said....

Oldest son got married there. I didn't go, but I bribed him with about $5000 to avoid it. Guess I need to get out more. If I were more adventuresome, I'd look for some hookers and blow near home. But for that kind of money, I could a new gun or 3.

What I don't understand is why you'd go somepace that is known for entertainment while not knowing what you wanted to do.

IF, you/wife are into cooking, about 20-minutes drive on the CA/NV border is the town of Primm, which has a number of outlets. One of them is the Williams-Sonoma outlet, only one out here in the West. Lots of seriously good home/kitchen tools and goods to be had for discount.

Maybe buffets, and certainly good restaurants.

Gambling, not at all.

Shows, not the ones in Vegas, for the most part.

They got hookers and blow everywhere.

Las Vegas is my favorite place to hang out and relax. I've got my next trip booked for a week in June and can't wait.

I go to Vegas for the Vegas experience, not to sight see like I do everywhere else I visit. Outside of Hoover Dam I have not been to the other tourist spots. My time is spent eating, gambling (poker), drinking, shows, and people watching.

If I want to sight see I'll go somewhere other than Vegas as Vegas is too expensive for that kind of trip.

It was impressive when they had it at the IP Biloxi. It disappeared when casino ownership changed.

I used to go to Vegas every year for a convention, but I am boring and not a gambler so I usually just went back to my hotel room. One time I brought my wife and we looked up what locations a tourist bus tour would take you and then just went to those places on our own.

Joe’s seafood in Cesar Palace is one of my favorite places as they have amazing stone crab!

Hoover Dam, but I am not sure if they allow full tours inside the dam like they used to.

The Cirque shows are all good, pick the music you like the best.

Absinthe is a riot and my favorite show in Vegas. It's raunchy though so if you're easily offended you should skip it. Opium and Atomic Saloon are other shows by the same group. Haven't seen either yet but Atomic Saloon gets great reviews. Same warning as Absinthe.

I eat a lot while I'm there. Eataly was fun but can start to get expensive quickly and I'd rather go to a restaurant though the dessert shops were great. The Cosmo has a ton of options across price ranges. It's hard to recommend more food stuff without knowing what you like to eat and how much you want to spend.

There's a free art exhibit at the Louis Vuitton shop at Crystals. It's an immersive light thing. It was really neat. Reservations are required. https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/akhob

The Flamingo has an outdoor flamingo exhibit.

The Conservatory at Bellagio changes seasonally and is always well done.

Fremont St Experience downtown is not my scene though the El Cortez has low table limits making for a cheaper few hours of gambling and drinking.

The side trip to the Hoover Dam was our number one tour.

We did one of the Circque de Soleil shows. It was spectacular but the heat of the flames caused me to close my eyes and my wife accused me of falling asleep. Okay, maybe I dozed for a second or two before she poked me but the same guy was still suspended in the same spot so I only missed out on $10-$12 of the high-priced entertainment.

If you’re old enough to remember him, the Liberace Museum can be fun. He was quite flamboyant with his costumes, cars, and lifestyle. They’ve moved this one into Michael Jackson’s old place.

I'm generally in and out for conferences and am generally meeting with clients so I've had minimal time to do stuff. I've see two of the Cirque shows (O and the Beatles) and they were amazing. (O was by far my favorite.) Last time I saw the Blue Man group.

I saw the Terry Fator (ventriloquist) show and that's great as well.

I've always wanted to see Penn & Teller but they were sold out the nights I could attend.

Someone probably mentioned - go to Freemont (sp??) street for the light show.

Basically, it's just some guy paid to stand in the strip and hand out cards with nude pics of girls with a contact number. If you call, most likely, it's just a "pimp" fixer that will answer to set you up with a girl that does not even resemble the girl on the card.
