"They say" you ought to learn something every day. Sometimes we learn things by accident, and accident is what brought my lesson for the day.

** Ctrl-D in Excel will duplicate the value in the cell above it. It can also be used to fill a range of cells.

Track mode on a C7 Corvette with NPP sounds really good. For the acronymically challenged, NPP is an order code or option code that doesn’t stand for anything.

I learned that in addition to a major but random miss - bad enough to cause a check engine light - on my elderly friend's Mazda Tribute, it also has a parasitic draw on the battery.

Went over to pick it up and take it to a shop this morning and the brand new battery was flat after the car sitting in the garage for ~3 months.

I learned that I liked tabbouleh. Typically, I order sweet potato fries with my gyro, but decided to be healthier today. The only healthy option for a side was tabbouleh.

It's a shame I have dinner plans already, because I sure have a craving for Mediterranean food now.

"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

I learned we have coyotes in the area and it would probably be prudent, when walking the dogs in the evening, to have a rifle at the ready.
