It feels appropriate to drop an ASG classic here: "Miracle Whip? You mean Goblin Cum?"

I wouldn't go so far as to eat MW with a spoon, but I much prefer it on sandwiches than mayonnaise. Mayonnaise to me has a cloying taste and I don't like it. The tarter taste of MW is more to my liking. I only use a little on certain sandwiches (mustard on the others) and never on a salad (no dressing but salt).

A whopper is the right idea for a good burger, but the execution still has to be right. Mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and cheese. None of that mustard and ketchup like on a quarter pounder...that's a Yankee burger. Miracle Whips an abomination...not sure what you put that stuff on.

I guess I’m strange. I’ve never had a Big Mac or Whopper in my whole life.

I LOVE the BK original chicken sandwich so much I just stick with that or chicken fries if I go to BK.

I agree that Pizza Hut is not the same as it was even a few years ago. I won't go there any more. My choice these days is Aurelios.

Ketchup may make a yankee burger, but I’ve seen a lot of cheeseburgers with mustard, and sometimes also jalapeños on them, eaten in Texas over the past 50 years. So there’s that.

I’ve always thought of ketchup as something a little kid wants on his burger.

In earlier posts in this thread, some folks were praising Culver's burgers; I remarked that I would try one and report back.

I found it to be less that stellar.

The photo posted by HRK, same photo as on the Culver's website, shows what I ordered, minus the lettuce.

what I got was a couple of patties considerably thinner than this, and way, WAY, over-cooked, to the point of incineration. Over-cooked, and dried out. My opinion, McDonald's or Wendy's does it better, snd we all know that neither of them is great. I won't be having another Culver's burger.

On the other hand, the Culver's fish & chips plate isn't half bad -- I'll stick to that if my wife wants anthing from Culver's.

Been about a years time frame since my last BK Whopper so because of this posting last evening stopped and got a 2 Whopper Jr"s to go.... Tasted the same as I remember.................. By the way that disgusting "Miracle Whip" is banded from our refrig and subject to severe disipline action should a container show up at our house. Our house prefers "Dukes".. ................ drill sgt.

Tell you what... that Arby's wagyu burger is my favorite fast food one by far anymore. That's some good meat they use.

This thread had me hankering for a Whopper. It has been quite awhile since I have had one. The closest Burger King rarely has the inside open anymore due to staffing.
I hate going in the drive thru. I happened to cut through the parking lot after reading this thread on Friday and hot Damn if the lobby wasn’t open.

I took the chance Whopper with no onion! I thought about asking the lady at the counter if they switched mayonnaise recently and realized she’d likely have no clue.

Glad to report back there was no change in the mayonnaise used here.

There are only 2 fast food places my family looks forward to eating at: Chick-fil-a and Cookout, if we are in their territory. We do eat at other fast food joints whenever the proper time arises (time constraint or we have no other choice), but we have become so spoiled making better food at home, everything else is a disappointment by comparison. The pandemic shutdown forced us to cook at home and we took the time to perfect our favorite meals. It is so easy and automatic to cook ourselves that most restaurants cook worse than we do at home.

I'd complain, they have good service, interesting the day of this thread I went to Culvers, got that Deluxe, fries, and one of the new Black Pepper Burgers for the daughter and a kids grilled cheese for the grandkids...

Mine was done correctly, tasty, and I couldn't finish it, too much, next time a single, not a double.

I agree though the Culvers fish is outstanding...

I did not complain while at the restaurant, but the receipt had something on it that asked for a review at "TellCulvers.com" -- so, since they requested a review, I responded.

Very quickly, received an email from the location asst. manager apologizing for the screw-up and requesting my mailing address for a complimentary meal coupon. I have her name; if I do go back, I'll ask whether she's on location and if so, will place the order with her and see what happens.

I eat a Whopper - or the current 2 Whopper Jr's. for $5 deal, which is actually less than a single Whopper with cheese - now and then and have never noticed any such thing as described in the OP. I'd certainly have noticed Miracle Whip. They aren't as good as Wendy's, however. I also like Hardee's/Carl's Jr. "thickburgers" when made right, but the local one too often does not. The last time they burnt the bun black.
