I've been thinking the past few days and was reminded of this thread. While I don't plan to start downsizing my moderate firearm collection anytime soon, I may perhaps be done increasing it. My new interest-within-the-interest has been 1911's and 2011's. One thing I don't have is a Commander-sized 1911 or 2011. I was thinking that would be next on the acquisition list. But, over the last week or two, my interest has waned. Now, when I find myself thinking about it, I ask myself "Why?" In fact: I haven't even been able to bring myself to pulling the trigger on some magazine replacements I had planned to order last week. I suppose it would be good to have them, but do I need them? The safe is essentially full. I could make more room by moving accessories out of it--things such as holsters and mags, but do I need to? Lately I'm thinking perhaps not. Perhaps the safe being full is a sign I've enough firearms stuff. My wife certainly thinks so ![]() "America is at that awkward stage.
