I live in the Washington D.C. area. I read the newspapers every day. I always hear the anti gunners complaining about the NRA. But very seldom hear them mention GOA.
I think it would be a shame if after years of trying to silence the NRA, the anti gunners were finally successful because they convinced gun owners that the head of the NRA made too much money.

I agree 100% with Pincus and have posted that repeatedly since the story first broke 1.5 years ago. I am an Endowment level member and I want the NRA to be the 800 lb gorrilla that makes Congressional Critters piss their pants. To do that they need to clean house (e.g. LaPierre), set-up appropriate financial controls (fixing their tax return is a good start), treat their legal entities separate as required by laws (i.e. stop intermixing funds), audit their subcontractors (e.g. ad agencies and lawyers), and they need to significantly decrease the number of board members (there is no oversight when there is a 76 member board).
