A while back, a men's salon opened near me. They offer: facials, manicures and pedicures, eyebrow waxing, etc.

Maybe I'm missing out on something great. But, I would not walk in the door of this place to save my life.

My former employer was one of the retailers for this crap. After I was there a while, I asked why they wasted shelf space on it. To my surprise, I learned that this junk flies off the shelves.

I can't reach my toes well enough any more to trim my toenails, so I have had a few pedicures. Then I discovered that a Podiatrist will do that, and Medicare will pay for it every so often (3 months?). And my feet get inspected, too, which as a Diabetic is a plus.

When I first moved to Idaho in 2007, I worked construction driving haul truck on-site for 50 hours a week. I only had the trucks radio, and Les Schwab Tires, over-advertised on every radio station, and every TV station in the area. I refused to ever shop there just because of their stupid ads.

Desperate for four tires on a budget 6 or 7 years later, I priced out a bunch of different shops, so I swallowed my pride and got a quote - they were rude, unhelpful, and nearly $300 more than anyone else I checked. Guess they gotta pay for those ads somehow.

My grandmother had a ratty, nasty Manchester Terrier named "Bing". Hated that thing - barked and bit everyone but her. Put a food dish down and you'd get a hand bit - damn thing had to be in another room if anyone else had to put the food down.

So you can guess which search engine I avoid.
