Good dog, "stop resisting" pretty hard to do when a K9 is eating your arm and back.

Why do I think the dog biting him and him going, "Ow, ow, ow!" is a punchline to a joke? LOL

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

To the officers who see this, is this normal, or is this a screw up in clearing the building?

Thanks.

The camera has a slightly fisheye lens that badly distorts things. I bean bagged a guy once where the video made it look like I shot past another officer who was ahead of the muzzle when he was actually directly to my side.

Another good collar. I like it when the officer tells him to "stop being a baby"

One of my favorite radio transmissions has always been “1 in custody, send aid for dog bite”

Our K9 announce requires they be told the dog will bite them.

I can’t keep a damn body camera to stay attached past first contact.

Busted down a door last week. Got the guy and realized I had no camera. Damn thing got knocked off during entry. Every scrap I’ve been in, camera goes flying. Meh.

My old roommate was a K9 handler. That thing was a ferocious beast. I’d never want to tangle with one!!

Knowing what one is talking about is widely admired but not strictly required here.

Although sometimes distracting, there is often a certain entertainment value to this easy standard.

The last unit I was based on had live-ammunition guard patrols and attack dogs. The spooky thing about them was that they were trained not to bark, and once loosed on an intruder were more than likely going to do massively nasty things to his anatomy. Three of them were also albino, and made the Hound of the Baskervilles look like a lap-dog. Cujo comes to mind, but nastier.

The middle Eastern students that were sometimes to be found on base were utterly terrified of them and if they accidentally encountered the dog patrol they would run and hide anywhere to avoid being seen.

I have a bad habit of screaming stop resisting all the time. On the other hand it keeps me breathing as I’m saying it.

Our new K9 had his first bite or bites? recently. Assisted another agency with a home breakin. Bosco found the guy in a crawlspace. Bit the guy, dragged him out, let go while we tried to cuff him and he started resisting so he got rebit.

Good dog!

My camera is also the first thing to go in a scuffle.
