I just got off the phone with David. He has had a tough year and a half. He has been in hospitals and treatment facilities for well over a year. They are trying to get his wounds healed. If successful, he will move to a rehabilitation facility to "learn how to do some things all over." He is at The Reserve At Richardson and is able to have visitors. He has a few every week. I told him we will come by the 2nd week in December but will call first. David's 87th birthday is next month. Dallas area members, if you would like to visit or call David, my email is in my profile. From my experience, he does not answer email or texts. I have only reached him by phone. Knowing David is a long-time member of First Methodist Church Richardson and choir member, he assured me he knows he will be with Jesus when his time comes.

Do---or do not. There is no try. |
SW_sig, we must be on the same wavelength. A half hour before you posted your update, I went to David’s house, got no answer (obviously), and dropped a greeting card at the post office.

David has not been home since he fell and was stranded in the backyard. If you and others are up for it, we could visit him around his birthday next month.

Sincerest apologies. Saw the thread active and was misled by the posts above mine. Saw the ST memes saying ´re still on Sigforum and mark60´s welcome back. Should have investigated more and not jump to conclusions. Apologies again. 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20

SW_Sig, thank you very much for the update. I am (I'm sure we all are) very glad to hear David is in good hands and getting the attention he needs. Thank you, too, for information on his location. I'll be putting a birthday card in the mail shortly. God bless America.

SW_Sig, Thank you for the update. I am happy to know he is doing okay and in a rehab facility. Snoris and I had an email exchange and I was hopeful that David was home and would have answered. Please let him know we are thinking of him and miss him on the forums. The “lol” thread

Rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated |
Kinda late to ask, but does he have someone watching and caring for his residence? "Someday I hope to be half the man my bird-dog thinks I am." looking forward to 4 years of TRUMP!

I sure hope he can. I hope someone connected to the church is seeing him and can facilitate getting him there. Prayer sent for you David. Best wishes our SF friend. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

Obviously, David’s a fighter, good. Appreciate the update on his challenges; so very sorry that happened to him. SW_Sig, if you think, or if David thinks, he would be lifted by Christmas cards from his brothers in the Forum, please let us know. _______________________________________________________ despite them

I see the Reserve and its address, but I don't see David's last name. .

Ditto. SW_Sig, if you want to PM it, I'd love to send him a note.

It’s in his profile here. I think I should not post his last name here for the public to see, privacy and such. .

Good call, IMO. Also, the name in his profile is FirstMiddleLast I believe, the E being the middle initial. The Enemy's gate is down.

D'Oh... thanks, guys. I didn't even think to look.

Thanks SW, I always loved his travel picture posts. "I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."
