I have a cheaper method: put them on buses and drop them off in Mexico.

Uh, no. It might make a difference for some criminals, but by and large felons aren't great at forethought, reason, and cost/benefit analysis.

I agree with you, with the current sentencing structure. Or lack thereof, that currently produces habitual repeat offenders lining up for a slap on the wrist.

6 months for the 1st with the promise of a hard labor life for the 2nd...that's a whole new perspective.

I just read this article about Baltimore prisons and children transferring to be next to their fathers cell. Cousins, families, neighborhoods all basically living in the same prison.

It's been a real learning experience , to say the least.

No prisoner will weigh more than 155 pounds, regardless of what you were brought in at , within the year , you will be down to 155 pounds or under. vegetarian diet, protien ,once a week

scrubs to wear and flip flops , thats it thats all , no hats jackets gloves socks , nothing else.

no cells full of crap, you get a sheet and a hook to hang yourself from , if you wish. no books, magazines, hobbies, games, no cards, Zip , thats it.

no one gets additional time for rule infractions,
1st infraction : you lose 14 digits
2nd infraction : cornea's get donated
and so on.

no tv , no radio, and hell no computer time.

Liberal positions like this are why Prisons are in the shape they're in now. Big Grin

I would remove all exercise equipment and recreational items. No more yard time, these guys get no physical activity whatsoever. Make the cells smaller limiting movement, give them cable TV.

Breakfast will be Captain Crunch/Fruit Loops cereal and donuts, all they can eat. Their lunch and dinners would consist of only bacon, white bread, deep fried chicken wings (in lard), Cheetos, skinny french fries with Velveeta cheese sauce. The only liquid they are allowed to drink is Coke Classic.

No more dental products such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. Smoking cigarettes will be highly encouraged, free menthol cigarettes all day and night, no limit.

They'll love it Wink

perhaps judging how the penal system should be run ,from watching a month of tv was incredibly premature .

but I hope that those who were in the actual position of caring for the prisoners will agree that
whats being done now is absolutely not! working.

maybe those with honorable historys should get tv for an hour in the morning an hour at noon and an hour in the evening.

perhaps there are good people in prisons, perhaps they only show the worst of them to boost ratings

Hell, I'd be happy if the Prison system was today as it was when went thru the academy and began my career as a prison guard 22yrs ago.
Every change appears to have had the opposite effect desired.

who will wipe and feed those without digits?

Lyle and Sid killed mary and susan when they got drunk and mashed in to their car and fled the seen. they both had two felony priors, each and the car was stolen.

Nine family members have to live the rest of their days w/o mary and susan, five co-workers and six friends will miss them and well.

I am sure that Lyle and Sid will get all the
of the assistance and caring that they afforded the 22 people mentioned above.

they can lick each other clean and chew each others food for all I care "F" em

In addition to removing the weight rooms, I would eliminate corporations running prisons for profit. Yes, it would cost the government more, but I would be OK with that. For profit prisons create all kinds of perverse economic incentives.
