It's easy for lay persons to criticize when they've never been in a self defense situation, much less an OIS. Everything they know comes from books, utube and hollywood.

Hey Walker,

Could you post pictures of this gun? To my knowledge, THP never had or issued the Glock 35. Now, the 35 was the issued pistol for the Kentucky State Police from 2002 to 2017. This was issued after a failed attempt to adopt the Smith and Wesson 4566 to replace their aging 1076s.

To my knowledge THP issued the Glock 31 in .357 SIG.

Sorry, it was KSP.

Thanks. I thought you might have had a true unicorn. I didn’t know if THP might have had some 35s in their Special Operations group. KSP has some 34s in SRT, and they haVe some 19s in the executive protection branch. I do not believe those guns are roll marked KSP though.

Agreed. I've watched many of his videos. I think he does a good job overall of talking about the good and the bad in the different videos. It sure would have looked better for the officer if we could have actually seen a weapon before he just started firing. I understand constantly being in fear...but.

Is the sister liable for phoning in a threat which cost this thug his life.

I'm not saying the officer murdered that man BUT, if you don't find this shooting to be questionable, with the info we have on hand, then I think you need to go back and watch it again.

It was like 10 seconds from exiting his car to shooting at someone who isn't holding a weapon. Hell from the distance the officer was at is was less 3 seconds from him yelling to get on the ground then firing. I bet the sound of his voice reached the suspect and was just being processed when the first bullets were arriving.

Like I said, this shooting is questionable, at the least....

Questioning is why such incidents are thoroughly investigated, and usually by independent agencies. That’s expected and proper.

What is not proper for anyone aspiring to be a rational thinker is reaching a conclusion based solely on the video that we have.

Agreed, this is why we have shoot teams and investigations. Courts have stated and upheld that a video is not a replacement for an officers senses and only captures a part of any scene. Alot of conclusion jumping going on.

The number of shootings an officer has been in has nothing to do with their judgement or to the facts of the shootings. His multiple shootings also mean his performance has been reviewed multiple times and apparently found objectively reasonable.

Also hard to draw conclusions when you arent watching a video in real time, but paused every 0.4 seconds for someones commentary and observations. Turn a 15 second incident into a 20 minute video.

Start the OP video from the beginning, and it will be shown in real time.

Your title is misleading and sensational. The shooting may or may not be justified, and may or may not be a crime, but you cannot make that judgment from a few seconds of video. All police shootings are investigated, and the totality of the circumstances must be taken into account. I would raise an eyebrow the second time an officer is involved in a shooting, but you must take into account the area where he works and type of assignments he has had. Typically the most aggressive officers are assigned to the toughest areas, which greatly increases the likelihood he will have a lethal encounter. Let the investigation and review process take place before we make any judgment. The whole matter turns on what the officer perceived was occurring at the time it occurred, not what we presume after the fact. This self styled Youtube expert is in no way qualified to make these judgments absent all the facts.

Exactly! I'm not a cop and don't have the mental set to be one, but my BFF is one and I've had many friends who were. The title of this thread is overly judgmental and insulting. And the number of prior shootings/deaths is immaterial to this one. Presumably every one of those has been thoroughly investigated and found to be "good shoots". Therefore, they are not pertinent to this situation. Many factors can contribute to a LEO shooting situation and each must be investigated in isolation.

Clickbait is clickbait regardless of how it’s formatted. OP knew this kind of shit is frowned upon and figured he was being slick. Apparently it worked since it’s still up and getting attention.

The OP is a dipshit for posting such dumbfuckery without knowing jack shit other than what is in the video. Let’s see if that brings him sniffing around his own thread.
