It's an admission of guilt, but it won't hurt democrats because of the nature of our media.

"I Believe In The Rule Of Law, But..."
- Biden Pre-Emptively Pardons Fauci, Schiff, Cheney, Milley & More

Just as many suspected would happen...

https://x.com/zerohedge/status...iley-jan-6-committee

...in these flailing hours of Biden's presidency, he has issued a large-scale pre-emptive pardon for his various NeverTrump henchmen (and henchwomen) that have done his (or his puppet master's) bidding for the past four years.

As AP reports, it’s customary for a president to grant clemency at the end of his term, but those acts of mercy are usually offered to everyday Americans who have been convicted of crimes.

But Biden has used the power in the broadest and most untested way possible: to pardon those who have not even been investigated yet.

And with the acceptance comes a tacit admission of guilt or wrongdoing, even though those who have been pardoned have not been formally accused of any crimes.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Reading the AP link reminds me of the adage about telling a big enough lie long enough.

From “ for his attempt to overturn his 2020 election loss and his role in the storming of the U.S. Capitol” to “ violent and bloody Jan. 6, 2021, attack, which injured roughly 140 law enforcement officers” to “deadly Jan. 6 insurrection” to “election denier. On and on ad nauseum.

Despicable

I hope the TRUMP Justice Department will challenge this... to the Supreme Court.

"For instance, the Court has indicated that the power may be exercised at any time after [an offense’s] commission, reflecting that the President may not preemptively immunize future criminal conduct."

What crime were they pardoned for? That is a legal assumption of guilt, right? Won't say? Can we levy a bunch of charges & see what gets tossed out first? It will be a quagmire of epic proportions, but it should be interesting.

Ignore the leftist slant in the early part of this article.

The rest does a good job explaining the history of this issue.

I forgot about several of the previous uses in the 20th century and mostly didn't know about the others before that.

Ford's pardon of Nixon was the one I did recall and most agree, especially with time, that was a good use of the pardon power.

I suppose Congress could still hold hearings and let them all plead the fifth.
They might also make the claim he was medically incompetent to perform his duty and see where that goes.

I'd prefer to let the people make their own judgement than continue to wast more time on the subject.

There is a lot to do and not much time to do it.

Biden's bullshit is basically a Get Out of Jail card to be used at any given time. These "pardons" are laughable, just an admission of guilt for these fuckers.

Once immunized, a witness can't refuse to answer on the basis of the Fifth. So they can be subpoenaed and their choices include a) refuse to testify (contempt), b) lie (a new offense not covered by the retrospective pardon), or c) tell the truth (highly unlikely for this crowd, highly embarrassing, but still an option.)

I'm hoping that the pardons will be challenged as Biden didn't actually pardon them. He just signed a piece of paper and has no idea what was on it.

But him 'pardoning' Faucci was a given

This will be his legacy. He is a criminal. His family is criminal. He let the criminals into the country, he let the criminals roam about and destroy the country. He even pre-emptively pardoned and attempted to prevent the investigation, indictments, and convictions of criminals.

He has upset the notion of both rule of law and separation of powers with these pardon abuses.
