https://theconservativetreehou...ase-dashcam-footage/ According to witnesses who called 911, State Representative Jewell Jones was speeding down I-95 in his black Chevy Tahoe before he ran off the road in a ditch. A woman traveling with Jones was transported via ambulance to the hospital. However, Jones became combative with police officers who arrived at the scene. Mr. Jones had a blood alcohol level of .19, twice the legal limit. Mr. Jones refused to present his drivers license and then began physically struggling with officers who were attempting to handcuff him. video at: https://www.detroitnews.com/vi...-whitmer/7375540002/ The state representative then claimed Governor Gretchen Whitmer would get involved and began threatening the police. Prosecutors say Jones has been charged with resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle with high blood alcohol content (.19), operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, possession of a weapon under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving. The 911 calls came pouring in as the Democrat State Representative's black Chevy Tahoe sped down I-96. For almost 50 miles, the vehicle with the vanity plate “ELECTED” was driving so recklessly that at least one person saw him go the wrong way before rolling into a ditch. When police arrived at the scene, according to @MIRSnews, Democrat State Rep. Jewell Jones and his unidentified female passenger were found with their pants down as the Tahoe remained in the ditch. Jones was "holding the woman up" near the passenger side door, according to a police report obtained by MIRSnews. The woman's pants "were down" as she vomited and Jewell's pants "were partially down" when a paramedic arrived at the crash site. Meanwhile, the woman was "unable to stand on her own and was essentially unresponsive" as paramedics tried to administer care, the police report noted. The paramedic told police that Jewell identified both himself and his passenger as "people of importance" and flashed his wallet badge, When a state police trooper asked for Jones' identification, Jones refused, at one point prompting the trooper to tell Jones, "don't be dumb." During their exchange, Jones responds "I can't do that" when asked again for his driver's license and ID. At that point, the officers had had enough. They put their hands on Jones and wrestled him to the ground. Keep in mind a gun was also inside his car, reportedly in the cupholder. the Democrat threatened police, saying, "I'll call Governor Whitmer right now. He continued, "When I call Gretchen I need y'alls IDs and badges." In addition to invoking Whitmer's name, Jones tells the troopers, "I'm not giving you my arm unless you shoot me. You shoot me, I'll get up," according to the police report obtained by MIRS news. Officers do get Jones into handcuffs and he is eventually placed in the back of a Livingston County sheriff's deputy's vehicle, although video shows he resisted that request, as well. He was eventually transported to the county jail, where he was held overnight.

Kicked out of office for conduct unbecoming. Or should be. What is wrong with people? How do they justify that this is reasonable behavior? Disgusting. His parents must be proud. Detroiters re-elected Kwame Kilpatrick after he'd been caught with his hands in the till, and many of them would vote for him again, still. So, no: I would not be surprised.
FIFY. I don't like the direction "my" state is turning, but that cretin does not represent the state. "America is at that awkward stage. In all fairness he is not state Representative from Detroit but the 11th District which covers Inkster, Garden City, parts of Dearborn Heights and Livonia. He previously was on the Inkster City Council. He also is a Inkster auxiliary police officer, we’ll see how long that lasts. He has had at least a couple of run ins with police previously, in 2017it was reported that he was involved in a high speed crash almost where this last incident occurred and in 2018 another crash with open intoxicants in the vehicle but he was deemed sober in that incident. BTW, our county is predominantly Republican, Jones being a Democrat and “calling out” for Gretchen is probably not going to win him any brownie points in his trial as she is not too popular around here for many reasons, the latest for her early COVID vaccine allocations on the basis of social justice reasoning. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A. You have to give him credit for not driving off a bridge and drowning the woman. Was it the alcohol that caused the wreck, or whatever they were doing with their pants down? CMSGT USAF (Retired) Chief of Police (Retired)

The location is not far from me, no deep water there, only ditches. More surprised that he didn’t hit a bridge abutment, there was a semi that crashed into one and burned about a month ago not far from there. The cynic in me wonders if other substances were found but until analysis is complete authorities are being tight lipped. Also he is term limited in the State House, this is his last term. But he could run for the State Senate. Since our county is 96.7% white and only .04% black I’m wondering if and when that card will be played. That card gets played from time to time as a result of some KKK activity in the north end of this county centering around the late Robert Miles in the 90’s and the auction of his Klan items in 2005 at a now defunct antique auction house here. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A.
