The first thing I did after buying a 2004 access cab Tundra was removing the rear jump seats which gave me a lot more room for cargo, the dog, tools, etc. Never missed those seats but used the extra storage and longer bed almost every day.

Wont't you be paying Indiana tax when you title it there?

I went with the access cab. If I wanted to haul people, I would have gotten a car. If I NEED to, four can fit just fine for a trip. The crew cab is longer (for garage fit), 2-3k pricier, and typically has a shorter bed.

Lol, how do you think resale compares between the access cab and crew cab? You think that "$2k-$3k savings" pays off in the long run?

Seeing how he's currently driving an 18/19 year old 4Runner with nearly 300K miles, and its getting passed on to a family member, I don't think 'Resale Value' is high on Benner's list of concerns. Wink

Brother, I hope you've found what you were looking for, and you can bring it home tomorrow.

Best of Luck!

I hope it all goes well!

I got an as-new 2017 Tacoma SR5 4x4 back in early 2018 and love it!

Being that you are in a neighboring state they should be able to do everything for you through your state.
My last two vehicles I bought in Ohio and both dealers did all of my KY registration and taxes.
Gave me an Ohio temp tag and got my full KY plate in the mail a couple weeks later.

Thanks, everyone! Yeah, resale hasn’t crossed my mind. That is a good idea to take the jump seats out. I could always put them back in.

So did you get the truck? Did I miss where you bought it? Or did you stop to eat lunch before going to purchase the truck?

Sorry! Yes, I bought the truck but there was an issue with the radio not working. They called me before I got there to tell me about it. They were going to take the cost of the radio off but I wanted it replaced. The back up camera works but not the radio. Anyway, they are ordering me one and shipping it to me. So, overall happy with the deal. Here’s a quick pic my dad took:

Congrats, nice looking truck. Nice thing with shorter cab is you get a more usable bed. I hope it serves you very well for many years and miles.

Hopefully the do what they say.
I am still waiting on the remote for the rear blu ray system and the map update from the dealer out of state I bought from 2 years ago.

Congrats on the new to you truck. Personally prefer the acess/extended cab vs the crew cab. And the longer cargo bed. ......... drill sgt.

Sweet, that truck in that color looks "just right".

You didn't happen to see a blue Subaru WRX in the show room did you?

I meant update that the turkey club I had at the back porch was amazing! Great suggestion, thank you.
I absolutely love the truck. The radio has been ordered and is being shipped to me. I took the steps off as they just get in my way. Whoever had before me took very good care of it.

Thanks guys!
