Fire begets Fire
| I saw Neil Armstrong walk on the moon with my dad who took me out of kindergarten class and walked me over to a television screen in the student union. I’ve had a lifetime of inspiration from the space program in the late 60s early 70s. Disappoints me that we fell so far from something so important. However I am super pleased that the commercial sector is taking over from the goobers. If this race does not become interstellar, it will die on this planet when we get hit by an astroid or the magnetic poles reverse, or or or…. For some of us, it’s just basic nature to reach beyond our limits.

Concur. Sure we need to fix a lot while we're still stuck here, but we REALLY need to get moving outward too. Sooner the better. |

| Pretty sure Visco-elastic foam was developed during that program, along with microwave ovens IIRC?

There is no known or hypothesized way to use the result of this research to transmit information FTL and no known or hypothesized way to use quantum entanglement to transmit information FTL. |
