the brains behind the movement are calling for a “new wave of militant feminist struggle.”

The document was co-authored by, among others, Rasmea Yousef Odeh, a convicted terrorist.

Odeh, a Palestinian, was convicted in Israel in 1970 for her part in two terrorist bombings, one of which killed two students while they were shopping for groceries.

She spent 10 years in prison for her crimes. She then managed to become a US citizen in 2004 by lying about her past

She was convicted, in 2014, of immigration fraud for the falsehoods. However, she won the right to a new trial (set for this spring) by claiming she had been suffering from PTSD at the time she lied on her application. Oh, and in her time as a citizen, she worked for a while as an ObamaCare navigator.

I am going to laugh my ass off when this yahoo gets booted from our country (hopefully anyway). Seriously, what are her chances of keeping her citizenship based on her being: a known terrorist who defrauded our government and actively continues to undermine the principles of this wonderful nation? Though there are some more pressing issues for President Trump, I think if he used this whackadoodle as an example, he would be elevated to an even higher level of awesome, at least in my book Cool

I don't think that tidbit is insignificant.

I saw a news blurb about this. A local woman that owns a pizza shop is giving all the women the day off and the men are picking up the slack.

point 1: This proves the women aren't needed
point II: Her business didn't close because either she's not that dedicated to women's rights or it's all baloney
point C: This just bolsters the anti-wage gap claims that women only get less pay because they work less
point Four: This is just worthless grandstanding that has no point

Womynist #2: Um... Yes. We, would like, a beer.

Jock #1: Okay!

[turns around to get a beer]

Womynist #1: So it's like, if you're nice to them, they *bring* you things?

Womynist #2: Exactly.

Good observations. I might mention on your point Four; yes it is grandstanding that has no foundation. But that doesn't mean it won't stir up a lot of stink that will cause some of the ignorant/apathetic/complicit to overreact.

from comments in the link: " ...the school district to shut down for the day"

Ok, let me see here, Confused school is closed, ergo little cuddle-muffin stays home.
Little cuddle-muffin stays home, day care workers are mostly, you know, womyn, so there is no day care, so mom, a womyn, stays home to take care of cuddle-muffin.

Got it! Retro! Big Grin

Fantastic point! This so-called wage gap didn't happen over the last few months. Look to our previous glorious leader.

The striking women's platform

http://www.womenstrikeus.org/our-platform/

March 8th will be the beginning of a new international feminist movement that organizes resistance not just against Trump and his misogynist policies, but also against the conditions that produced Trump

We stand for full reproductive justice for all women, cis and trans

We demand free abortion without conditions and affordable healthcare for all, irrespective of income, race or citizenship status.

All women, irrespective of citizenship status, sexuality or race, must have equal pay for equal work, $15 minimum wage, including for caregivers, free universal child care, paid maternity leave, sick leave, paid family leave and the freedom to organize a fighting union in the workplace.

we demand an expansive restructuring of the American welfare system to serve the needs of the majority, such as universal healthcare, robust unemployment and social security benefits, and free education for all

Against the open white supremacists in the current government and the far right and anti-Semites they have given confidence to, we stand for an uncompromising anti-racist and anti-colonial feminism. This means that movements such as Black Lives Matter, the struggle against police brutality and mass incarceration, the demand for open borders and for immigrant rights and for the decolonization of Palestine are for us the beating heart of this new feminist movement.

We want to dismantle all walls, from prison walls to border walls, from Mexico to Palestine.

We believe that both social inequality and environmental degradation are due to an economic system that puts profit before people

The emancipation of women and the emancipation of the planet must go hand in hand.

Dude, I just looked over that link. I think you got played. There is no way that is real. Just a combination of some of the craziest gibberish and socialist pie in the sky bullshit. If that's real then,.... well I don't even know how to respond.

My guess is fake website to mock this "movement".

It's a day without Hillary Clinton!

Can I get an "amen?"

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.
