I voted for Wicks. I met him several years ago and he seems like a good guy.

Is that like a third option? I thought it was a two man race - Gianforte versus Quist?

Unfortunately you actually voted for Quist, and feel good about it. Congrats.

Surely to God there was a third option, maybe a Libertarian running. No way a member here would vote to give control of the House to the democrats so they can push their anti-gun, anti-liberty agenda. No way.

Just trying to give the benefit of the doubt. Surely to God people know that their individual representative really does not matter because everything (especially in the House) is based on who the majority party is. A vote for your local 'good guy' democrat is a vote for Nancy Pelosi and the uber left agenda. No way around that. I figure most everyone would know that by now.

Wicks is the Libertarian candidate.

After yesterday's altercation I don't see how anybody could vote for Gianforte. If he can't handle a over zealous reporter then he has no business representing me. But I would have voted for Wicks regardless. Like I said, I know the man. He has a ranch in my area.

Bingo! At least it wasn't for the democrat...Voting for the libertarian is like staying home, much better than voting for Nancy Pelosi!

I did. Just this afternoon.

Not a chance in hell that I'd vote for the dope smoking hippy and a third party vote is a vote for the democrats. Easy choice here.

I cast my secret ballet two weeks ago for Gianforte. If I were to do it today, my vote wouldn't change. There's always more to the story. Maybe we need more people to get pissed.

I know Quist and really like his music. That doesn't make him a Congressman.

Ah, to work in media where facts are irrelevant, and the 'narrative' is the goal.

Prediction:

Spin if it's a D victory: "Early sign of 2018 wave election in formerly bright-red Montana."

Spin if it's a R victory: "Trump supporters elect a violent crazy man."

See, if you have the media behind you, even a loss helps the 'narrative' Wink

If the choice is someone who supports the progressive agenda, and someone that has less-than-superhuman tolerance for being pushed around.....the choice is still obvious.

So this evening I watched CBS evening news with Scott Pelly (gdc). They did a self righteous thing on the "assault" and then in unusual fairness, they interviewed 2 "voters". The communist was a presentable looking lady with her young son who rambled on about how you shouldn't hit others. Then for the Patriotic interviewee they selected a kind of disheveled old guy who said the reports wouldn't change his vote. He said he didn't trust the media. Right there on CBS, the leftist station. Smile

I would have been more impressed had he punched out their reporter. Smile There are many ways to lie. One is to bias your question. Another is to select a less sightly respondent. That shit doesn't work on me. I look for their bias and lies.

No, not really. It was a vote for Pelosi and her ilk. But tell your story as you wish. If you can sleep at night. That is all that matters, so to speak.

I'm not saying I would do that - the stakes are way too high right now. For me, any vote for the democrat or withholding support for the republican is bad, but if you're not going to support the republican at least stay home or throw your vote away on a third party.

When I listed to the recording I thought that the reporter sounded incredibly calm for someone being assaulted. It did not sound like a guy protesting being assaulted, but reading from a script..He seemed to be pretty lucid and was ready to be recorded, calmly commenting about his broken glasses, as if hed planned it.

A commentator on Fox said "that guy needs better security..the reporter shoudjl never have gotten that clsoe to him"

Fox witness recants

http://vesselnews.io/montana-a...admits-no-neck-grab/

Edmund Kozak | Lifezette

A reporter who was a first-hand witness to an incident late Wednesday involving Montana GOP candidate Greg Gianforte and a reporter for The Guardian now admits she embellished some details of her story.

Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs claimed Gianforte, locked in a hotly contested special election for Congress, body slammed him and broke his glasses at a campaign event. Local authorities have brough misdemeanor assault charges against Pianoforte.

Among the small handful of eye witnesses was Fox News reporter Alicia Acuna.

Acuna wrote a report published on Fox News that detailed what happened as Jacobs aggressively questioned Gianforte.

“At that point, Gianforte grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him,” she wrote, “Faith, Keith and I watched in disbelief as Gianforte then began punching the reporter. As Gianforte moved on top of Jacobs, he began yelling something to the effect of, ‘I’m sick and tired of this!’”

Acuna’s report quickly went viral online, but she admitted Thursday during an interview on “The Laura Ingraham Show” she may have embellished the neck grab.

“One of you guys said last night that he put his hands around his neck,” Ingraham said. “Which, as somebody who’s done a lot of taekwondo and self defense, to me that seemed, that might not be exactly right.”

“You know, and I’m the one who said that,” Acuna replied, “I saw both his hands go up, not around his neck in a strangling type of way, but more just on each side of his neck, just grabbed him and I guess it could’ve been on his clothes, I don’t know.”

Or just a clear indication that journalists have no interest in truth or facts, just shock value, drama, and spin.

If he's got any sense, he'll make sure to go to the press through a press secretary or something for the next two years and do all his in-person talking directly to the public. At any rate, congratulations to Montana!

For anyone who happens to know, is Missoula really all that much of a hippie town?

Ahhhh-hahahahahaha!

Still winning. Awesome.

I wish one of our congress critters would beat up a reporter or ten. I'm jealous.

The libs are getting desperate for a win. Any win, and so far they've come up empty on all fronts.
