Good for you! I took those courses with the Mrs. about 15 years ago. Good stuff. We particularly liked the on-the-bike training.

Fun area around that part of MD. Dam good food all over.

SP,
Been overall very disappointed in the food around here, been to a couple decent spots but it feels like the area is playing the role of a coastal city known for seafood.

Annapolis is the worst culprit, been to a half dozen spots and the fish is prebattered frozen stuff, crabs taste as if they were ordered cooked that morning and kept warm all day, just a hair above a long John silvers. As if they throw nautical decor on the wall and call it a seafood joint.

My wife tasted oysters for the first time this February back home in Pensacola. Doesn’t get any better than Gulf Coast oysters in my opinion, but these up here are some bland little bitty things.

Not trying to be all negative, we found one good place with some of the beta hush puppies I’ve ever had and great atmosphere, we’re hopeful Baltimore has better choices than Annapolis. I’m sure I’m just missing the spots the locals would eat at, Annapolis is so touristy I imagine more places survive in their advertising and bar scene rather than good seafood.

Here in Orlando it has cooled off ever so slightly and the humidity is down ever so slightly, so it is going to be a nice weekend.

Friday night - My high school daughter is in flag corp / guard, so I will be at the high school football game watching her perform at half-time.

Saturday morning - 40-50 mile bike ride around Orlando.

Saturday afternoon - A little time at the range with my 10 year old son.

Saturday evening - A little BBQ, wine drinking get together with some of my cycling friends.

Sunday morning - 30-40 mile bike ride around Orlando.

Sunday all day - Daughter has a volleyball tournament, 3-4 matches, we will be there about 2/3 of the day.

Well, scratch some of those plans. Downstairs A/C unit has stopped cooling. Tech comes out and checks things out. The expansion valve has went kaput, on a unit dated January 2019. No warranty since we are not the original owner. They are out picking up a new valve as I type this. It will be installed tonight or tomorrow. So some of my fun stuff will be canceled and I'll be spending $700ish dollars to fix my A/C.

Bathe the 130 pound dog. (Luckily, he loves baths, and I have a large walk-in shower with dual handheld heads. So he just strolls in, sits down, and enjoys the spa treatment.)

Apply the fall dose of weed and feed pellets to the yard.

Hand wash/wax the car for what's probably the last time this year.

Unpack the rest of my cooler weather clothing and put the winter blanket on the bed, since our first hard freeze is expected Tuesday night.

Grill some bratwurst to go with sauerkraut and German beer.

I'm planning to go to Cabela's, get another t-shirt or two, a warm woolie cap, perhaps a couple of freeze-dried meals, look for 44 Special cartridges (Buffalo Bore if available)....

130#?!?!?! I couldn't imagine. The meat and kraut sounds fantastic, found a local German place, went twice last week! Love their Kraut and they have a veal sausage, Weisswurst, that almost melts when you chew it.

Our 50# fur missile is about all the kids can handle. They are sisters and you can tell by how much they terrorize each other.

We will probably head over to our local coffeee/wine shop and listen to some live music on the patio tonight:

Then come home and throw some logs in the firepit and relax by the fire for a while:

And on Saturday hope that Bama can hang on and beat UT. Will probably split some more logs to add to the wood pile before the game:

Not sure about Sunday yet!

BJ,

You have the Blue Heeler don’t you?

I feel like I’ve seen photos before but that’s definitely a heelers head.

9.5-month old Jelly. I'm certain they could wear each other out ALL day long. Hopefully Gunner is smarter than his owner and pulls for Auburn though Smile

Nothing our of the ordinary in our household. Probably go to the gym, but Saturdays is cardio only for about 45 minutes then chat with my gym guys and gals friends. Saturdays we make a tasty dinner. Steak, lamb chops or other meats and the wife always has some great sides like roasted smashed potatoes and other goodies. Sunday, a quick trip to daughter number one's house. She lives the closest and it's just to keep up on things and interact with my grand kids. In their 20's so there's adult conversation. Live's good.

Heading out to son number two’s house on Saturday for some serious firewood splitting. He needs another 3-4 facecords to fill his shed. Sunday will be cocktails and recovery.
