Two things I notice,

1. I get tired of all the "WOKE, LIBTARD, DEMORAT" talk, that's not the crap I'd want to listen to around a campfire and let ruin a good beer.

2. I tend to get as much if not more pleasure anticipating something as I do doing something. So what's everyone else looking forward to this weekend?

For me, I'm gonna work on the kitchen table I've been slowly chipping away at. I'm gonna try to take my wife and find some good oysters in Baltimore WITHOUT any kids on Saturday. And Sunday is Buffalo/KC. As a lifelong Bills fan I am thoroughly excited.

Looking forward to a few friends coming over tonight. Also I’m cooking for my teenage stepson’s birthday tomorrow and giving him a Kirk Hammet edition cry baby wah pedal for his guitar (he’s learning very quick).

These go to eleven.

On my list for the weekend:
1) Blow the sprinkler system out (we got a little snow overnight...)
2) Make a Costco run for Halloween candy and other supplies
3) Get the Miata ready for storage
4) Belated birthday dinner at my favorite Italian place Smile

We are visiting our daughter and son-in-law in Livermore CA.

We are heading out soon to tour three wineries in Napa and Sonoma and staying in a bed and breakfast tonight.

We flew into Oakland yesterday and took the train to Dublin/Pleasanton yesterday morning.

The scenery leaving a Oakland was…interesting.

I am teaching a Basic Rider Course for the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Saturday & Sunday 7:30-4:30.

I've taught 24 classes so far this year, but this one will be special as I am teaching with my wife. She earned her certification as an MSF Rider Coach in August. While she has already taught 3 classes since then, this will be the first that we teach together. Our plan is to teach together as a team going forward (usual classes are 10-12 students and 2 coaches).

Planning on hitting the pistol range with a buddy. Other than that, I'm moving at the end of the month and need to get some serious sorting and packing done. Also need to temporarily stash my reloading stuff at my folks' place until I can come back to get it.

Wife loves Oysters, asked her where we would go cause she spent a few years at Ft Meade. She said these 2 places in Annapolis were her favorites, also noted you can't throw a rock in the area without hitting 12 good Oyster places.

Severn Inn
O'Briens Oyster Bar and Tavern

Fun area around that part of MD. Dam good food all over.

For me, I'll be drinking my beers. Trying to run down Sam Adams Octoberfest. Maybe hit up the fairgrounds Haunted House. Kids soccer games in the day, do some burgers or whatever afterwards with the beers. Lift heavy Saturday.

Considering the purchase of a new tool… Not inexpensive, hence the ponder… but sure solves some key issues for me.

UGH, we have some historical society coming over to photograph my house.

It's over 150 years old and the last standing original home in the county.

Baseball tournament Fri & Sat. Sunday my son was invited to a Div 1 college workout so that's my weekend.

Hedley Lamarr: Wait, wait, wait. I'm unarmed.
Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists.
Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

Work at the store Saturday until 13:00. Headed to a favorite apple orchard/cidery with my wife and youngest son and his girlfriend. We go every year about this time for cider and donuts.

Sunday it's jujitsu and then our county fire association meeting
