It's still up a buck over the offer price. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

I was able to buy some of the IPO and watched it rise to $225 only to come down. This was expected and if my magic ball is correct I can see further decline in the price, particularly around mid August when an additional 20% of the stock becomes available and those people decide to cash out. Remember only 5% of the float is currently available. I’m planning on starting to purchase more shares when it drops to around $100, hopefully in about a month… ------------------ Eddie Our Founding Fathers were men who understood that the right thing is not necessarily the written thing. -kkina

Wasn't sure where to put this. https://www.newsmax.com/politi...dkt_nbr=010102vjxzgn Report: Musk Plans Massive Spending Push in Midterms Tech mogul Elon Musk plans to spend big to boost GOP voter turnout during the 2026 midterm elections, Axios reported. Musk is bringing back his super PAC, America PAC, which spent more than $260 million on President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. The PAC will focus on door-knocking, digital advertising, and direct mail aimed at getting out the vote from conservatives, targeting voters who typically don't vote in midterm elections, sources told Axios. Representatives for Musk declined to tell Axios how much he plans to spend. "America PAC was an essential partner for our historic GOTV operation in 2024, and their return for 2026 is a huge boost for Republicans across the country," James Blair, a senior political adviser to Trump, told Axios. "We will again outsmart our opponents and ruthlessly execute our mission for the GOP between now and Election Day," Blair added. Republican super PACs and committees have a $300 million advantage over Democrats, while Trump's super PAC MAGA Inc. has $400 million to spend, Axios reported. America PAC said it plans to coordinate with other Republican PACs, allowing them to focus on TV advertising, according to Axios. "The president's political team and the rest of the GOP apparatus have built a top-notch operation that will put Republicans in a strong position to buck history and retain control of Congress this fall, and we're excited to again be part of the team," America PAC spokesperson Andrew Romeo told Axios.

I see people have included posts about SPCX stock here. It's gone down quite a bit since I bought, but I am not selling. Just holding and waiting for the brighter future Elon promised me. _________________________ “Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. So how about Tesla stock? I don't own individual shares in it. Is this still a good time to buy at around $300 a share? Added: SPCX up 8% today. _________________________ “Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. Evidently, trouble posting the entire article... https://finance.yahoo.com/tech...eport-132323178.html SpaceX's Q2 results top estimates in first-ever quarterly report SpaceX (SPCX) reported second quarter results on Tuesday that topped estimates — its first report as a public company — which comes as the stock has been in a recent free fall. SpaceX reported Q2 revenue of $7.8 billion vs $6.81 billion per Bloomberg consensus, up sequentially from $4.7 billion in Q1. SpaceX posted adjusted EBITDA of $3.5 billion vs $2.0 billion consensus expected. SpaceX stock slipped in after-hours trading. SpaceX said its Q2 capex spend came in at $18.37 billion, slightly below estimates for $18.58 billion The concern with SpaceX's large capital requirements — like those of other large AI frontier startups and even Oracle (ORCL), Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL), and Meta (META) — is that its AI infrastructure investments will not generate a healthy return given the level of cash required. SpaceX's AI segment posted an operating loss of $1.26 billion vs estimates of $2.39 billion. Separately, SpaceX announced on Tuesday that it is partnering with Nvidia to design its Starmind AI-1 payload, which would bring "datacenter class compute" into orbit. The partnership will use Nvidia's Rubin GPUs and Vera CPUs, and increase SpaceX's peak satellite computing capacity to 250 kW. With its Q2 results behind it, a big overhang still looms. https://www.theepochtimes.com/...uCbsaoKykSJJIAEFY%3D Elon Musk Pledges to Give ‘Every Kid in America’ 1 SpaceX Share Musk’s pledge comes soon after AI giant Anthropic committed to contributing 5 percent of its shares to a new public benefit fund. Billionaire Elon Musk said he will give every child in the United States a stake in his $2 trillion aerospace and artificial intelligence company. “Next year, I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America,” he wrote in an Oct. 19 post on X. “This will be the first of many.” As of July 2025, close to 73 million children younger than 18 lived in the United States. Musk owns about 4.8 billion shares—or 6.4 billion shares including stock options and unvested awards—and the share price is about $147, so the total cost would be close to $11 billion. But the world’s wealthiest person stopped short of providing further details, such as how he would distribute the shares or whether all children are eligible for the donation. The Treasury Department automatically enrolled tens of millions of children in Trump Accounts earlier this month. Additionally, the Treasury will now permit companies or charities to donate stock to these tax-advantaged accounts. Musk’s pledge comes soon after AI giant Anthropic committed to contributing 5 percent of its shares to a new public benefit fund. The amount could increase as the company’s valuation grows. “It will start off with 5 percent of our shares. For every 50 percent increase in the company’s value over a set baseline, we can contribute up to an extra 2 percent, subject to our board’s discretion,” Anthropic said in an Oct. 18 news release. “In total, this means that roughly 20 percent of Anthropic’s shares are committed to the public good.” Musk recommended on X that the company should instead be “giving the shares directly to the public,” saying that’s what he will be doing. SpaceX Earnings Report SpaceX, which debuted on Wall Street in June, will release its second earnings report after the Oct. 20 closing bell. Market watchers project revenues of $12.74 billion to $12.89 billion, driven mainly by AI and Starlink. Analysts also estimate earnings per share will be between $0.14 and $0.23. But the company’s capital expenditure spending—data centers and satellite deployments, for example—could total nearly $11 billion. Looking ahead, its capex could accelerate further as it seeks to raise $40 billion to purchase advanced Nvidia AI chips. This signals that Musk aims to make SpaceX an AI computing juggernaut. SpaceX shares are down about 8 percent since their debut. Wall Street is optimistic, with a consensus “moderate buy” rating and a 51 percent 12-month price target, according to MarketBeat. If SpaceX beats forecasts, it will join a growing list of U.S. companies—from Nike to JPMorgan Chase to UnitedHealth Group—that keep putting together better-than-expected earnings. In addition to SpaceX, a few major tech firms will post third-quarter earnings, including IBM, Meta Platforms, and Tesla Motors. “The question this quarter isn’t whether AI will continue to grow, it’s whether investors are still willing to pay a premium for that growth. With earnings season just getting started, we’re about to find out,” Jay Woods, chief market strategist at Freedom Capital Markets, told The Epoch Times in an emailed note. It is still early in earnings season; only 9 percent of S&P 500 companies have reported actual results, according to FactSet data. Of those that have, 84 percent have reported earnings per share above estimates. Still, third-quarter S&P 500 earnings are forecast to surge by more than 30 percent and could lay the groundwork for the U.S. stock market in 2027. “Strong results could help stabilize sentiment, but disappointing guidance may add to the pressure,” Woods said.

I believe that is the plan. Elon has stated it a few times. Here is an interesting video that has me compelled to buy more shares of Space X. Basically the video says Space X is going to be the railroad of the future. It's all about getting cargo into space. These go to eleven.

Old info (1997-2000, when I worked there as a civilian). At Fort Irwin, they were supposed to inspect a given area for the presence of desert tortoises and catch and relocate any they found so as not to skoosh them with tanks or other vehicles. There's a stretch of the road leading to the base with a little foot-high fence on either side to keep the animals from wandering onto it.
