I wasn’t in long enough to be considered a veteran. But Father, brother, and lots of relatives were. I’m entering for my cousins son, an E-9 Marine.

Putlos German Bundeswehr base in Oldenburg, Germany not far from Denmark. My unit would go there once a year to live fire Stinger missiles out over the Baltic Sea from crews carried by Bradley’s. This was 1995 I think:

That is an extremely generous Karma (especially these days) and a darn sexy carbine.

I would like to be considered for this. My father is a retired Army vet who was drafted in 1969 and sent to Vietnam. After returning home and realizing he no longer fit in he decided to re-enlist in the Army and served for 22 years.

Please include me in your generous Karma. US Army 1984-1991, MOS 54B3H.

Here is a picture of my wife, son, and me on the USS George H. W. Bush on Christmas Day, 2017. At the time, he was an enlisted ET. He is currently a Cryptographic Warfare officer.

A couple of other (hopefully) interesting stories regarding family military service:

My paternal grandfather served in the 326th Field Artillery, 84th Division during World War I. He spoke fluent German, so when his unit returned to the U.S., he was held over in Europe to serve as an interpreter.

An uncle by marriage also served in World War I, however he served in the Imperial German Army. After the war, he emigrated to the U.S. where he met and married my mom's older sister. They opened and ran a neighborhood bakery until his death in the late 60s.

Awesome Karma. Thank you for the chance to win.
USCG 1976-1980.
2 two years on the USCGC Jarvis WHEC-725 a High Endurance Cutter stationed out of Honolulu. I struck my rate and left the Jarvis as a BM3. Next two years I was stationed at the Marine Safety Office in Corpus Christi, Tx. driving a 32 ft. Harbor Patrol Boat chasing oil spills and tank ship boarding in the Port.
All in all a very positive experience.
