Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, USCG, Space Force, Army NG, Air NG - If you're in (or have family members in) one of these branches, a BCM complete AR-15 is offered up. Factory built complete upper (2014) mated to a factory built complete lower (2013) = complete rifle. This is from the early days of BCM, so the lower comes with just the mil-spec trigger and not their current PNT trigger. The rifle has not been fired. Pardon the dog's hair. Big Grin

Stories and/or pics you want share would be appreciated.

Winner to be chosen on Memorial Day. Thank you to all who serve / served. <<< Yes, this open to those who serve / served.

You've outdone yourself this time Q, your generosity is incredible.

Please include me on behalf of my son, a Captain in the Army Reserve.

Last month, his grandfather (my wife's Dad), passed away. I was helping my wife and her Mom with funeral arrangements. The funeral director told us that, as my father-in-law was a veteran, the Army would provide an honor guard at the cemetery.

I asked if my son could stand in and was told he could if my mother-in-law was ok with it, and if my son knew the correct protocol. My mother-in-law liked the idea. My son was a little reluctant because he was not sure he'd be able to keep his composure.

He did fine and I've never been prouder of him than watching him render honors to his grandfather.

Another generous karma honoring our military heroes! Thanks, Q!

Absolutely Awesome Q.

US Navy 1969 to 1974 nuclear machinist mate on the USS Truxton DLGN-35. All that math and science taught me a lot that applied to my commercial banking career>

Thanks for the opportunity.

Thank you for the opportunity.

One of my solemn memories of serving was one day while stationed in Yankeetown Fla at a search and rescue station when I was a lowly E2. We were dispatched to a boat running in circles in Crystal River. It only took us a few minutes to get there as the cox’n took short cuts thru adjoining creeks. Once on scene we found the boat, as described-the steering cable broke and flung the two persons out. One managed to swim to shore and call for help.

After basically bum rushing the out of control boat and getting it under control(we ran up alongside and I jumped aboard and killed the engine, then we tired it off) we went to look for the other person(operator). Eventually the guy got us pointed in the right line and we soon found the operator deceased under 20 feet of water in the middle of the channel. The River gets its name from being crystal clear.

I stripped off my uniform and gun belt and swam down and recovered the body. I found we didn’t have any body bags or blankets on that particular boat, so he was not covered. We took him aboard and then I redressed. We proceeded to a dock where an ambulance could transfer the body. I stood at parade rest at the head of the dock to prevent onlookers/press from disturbing the body. His son (probably 30)arrived, I was 19 years old but had the clarity to tell the man that he didn’t want to see his father that way and to please remain ashore. I know I prevented that man from having horrible memories of his father, and I’m glad that I was there to give him some closure by recovering his fathers body.

I don’t know why I just told you guys that....I’ve hardly spoken of that particular day to even my wife. But I was proud to do it.

It is not clear to me, whether this is offered to currently serving people, or if it is open to veterans who are no longer serving actively.

If open to veterans, I would like to be considered.

Your generosity knows no bounds sir. I’ll offer my name up, if it counts. My dad recently passed as an Army vet. He spent most of his time based in Germany.

I’ll throw my name in the hat. Thanks!

8 years AD as a C-130 navigator. Lots of Sandbox time. Some of my most rewarding experiences were working with and in support of our local and partner nations. Our humanitarian missions were the best.

I got out in 2011 and am now a Chaplain Candidate. Hoping to reappoint as a full Chaplain this fall. It is invigorating and uplifting to support and serve those who serve. The people whom I interact with renew my hope in humanity and our country.

Thanks again!

If it counts, I'd like to put my name in. My son-in-law just got out of the Army this last Wednesday after 13+ years. He did a tour in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. This would make a great "getting out" gift.

This is a fantastic karma. Thanks for offering it up.

Very nice thank you for the offering, I am in.

My avatar is a photo of a photo I took in 1984 from the boom pod of a KC-135A over the East China Sea on a short TDY to Clark AB, Philippines from Kadena AB, Okinawa.
The F-4 was flying out of Clark AB.
The photo was printed on matte finish paper.
I used a free app to change the color contrast with my i-pad.
Really like the photo as it looks like an oil painting on canvas, but it’s not.
The photo was originally taken with a Minolta 110 pocket camera.
The photo of the photo was take with my i-phone.

6 years active duty with the AF. Even though I was not a fan of my assignment, I'm really glad I served. Made lifelong friends and it has given me many advantages. Plus it forced me to move from NY to WY

Wow, thank you for your generosity and the chance to win such an amazing prize!

I served 1990-2014 (came in during Desert Shield; the 1st Gulf War took place while I was in Basic). I had 3 combat deployments to the middle east, on one of them I spent some time in the 'stan. Never got shot at personally, but we supported those who did.

This was me back in 2005 at a flying conference in 2005. The gentleman in the red jacket is none other than BGen (retired) Robin Olds (he wore that same jack in the TWO episodes of the History Channel show "Dogfights" in which he was featured).
