Do NOT consider me Q.

Your generosity is legend!
You honored me with a Noveske N4 carbine in your 11-11-2017 military karma for which I remain externally grateful. Big Grin

It looked that way to me, too, but most of the entries are from members who are no longer active duty. That's why I asked.

I looked again, and the always-generous Q has updated the Original Post to clarify that this is open to current and past service, so veterans are eligible.

Thank you for the karma. USAF, 1994-2019. All of my deployments have been with Army or Marine units—never assigned to a USAF unit. Interesting enough, i spent 2 months on the USS BLUE RIDGE in 2001, in/around Australia. Spent most of 2003 with I MEF, then 2004 with 1 CAV.

This would be for my oldest son if chosen.

He recently earned his Masters Degree graduating with honors but even though he has been asked to go to OCS he has refused instead choosing to remain in the field so they just promoted him to E-6 and he left yesterday to attend the month long ALC in PA. He will be going to Africa on his next deployment.

Thank you for considering him. We are beyond proud of him.

Please sign me up. I spent 11 years on active duty (1955-1966), 9+ of those years along the east/west German border and a year in Iran.

I have one grandson who was medically retired due to injuries received while on active duty, and the other grandson is still on active duty as a Green Beret, even tho listed as 100% disabled due to wounds received in combat. He was nominated for the Silver Star on 4 different occasions and refused them each time. They finally forced him to accept the Bronze Star (V).
