Truman for me as well. I have an early memory of Gen. Douglas MacArthur being recalled from Korea, and my father being worried that he would attempt some sort of coup d'etat. Although both my parents were died-in-the-wool FDR Democrats, I had "I Like Ike" pins as did so many of the other oldsters here.
