If the escalator pause was intended to humiliate, embarrass, or inconvenience DT, it was also a security risk increase. Him stopping makes him a better target. No he wasn't targeted at that time, but him being put at greater risk is no joke.

I don't know about current escalators, but years ago there were kick panels at the top and bottom ends of escalators. Employees were trained to kick these panels to stop the escalator if somebody fell.

My general thought is, I'd prefer the President not get into trolling the previous President, I would like to see the high road taken. And then I remember the impeachments, the lawsuits, the criminal charges they brought against Trump and I think the trolling is hilarious and entirely deserved.
