Destroying the White House? Ridiculous. Trump himself said he wouldn’t touch one inch of their “precious” East Wing. It’s his favorite part of the White House but of course hysterical lobtards think everything is a disaster. He’s building a beautiful ballroom adjacent the East Wing, and won’t move a single inch of plaster in the existing building. Fucking morning liberals are too dumb to even understand words. It halarious

“It'll be built over on the east side, and it will be beautiful. It'll be views of the Washington Monument. It won't interfere with the current building. It'll be near it but not touching it. And pays total respect to the existing building, which I'm the biggest fan of. It's my favorite. It's my favorite place. I love it. But they've wanted it. And you know, when they have big events, you entertain the president of China or the president of any place.”

Actually, they are going to knock down the entire East Wing. They already started the process Monday.

WASHINGTON, Oct 22 (Reuters) - The full East Wing of the White House will be torn down to make way for President Donald Trump's new ballroom, contradicting the former New York real estate magnate's pledge that the project would not interfere with the existing U.S. landmark.

Demolition workers on Monday began ripping down the section of the White House that holds offices for the first lady and staff. Trump announced that ground had been broken on the project after images of demolition circulated in news reports, though the full extent of the tear-down only became clear two days later.

"In order to do it properly, we had to take down the existing structure," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday.

An administration official said the demolition process would likely be finished within two weeks. "We can confirm that the entire East Wing is going to be modernized and renovated to, I guess, support the ... ballroom project," the official said.
The demolition of part of one of the most historic buildings in the United States has sparked an angry outcry from many Democrats and questions about whether the Trump administration followed proper protocols. The White House has dismissed the criticism as "manufactured outrage."

The most recent iteration of the East Wing came about in 1942 when Franklin D. Roosevelt was president. U.S. presidents have renovated and added to the White House and its grounds throughout history, but Trump's changes are the most significant in decades.
“President Trump’s desecration of the White House is an insult to the American people and a betrayal of his obligation to safeguard our history and heritage," U.S. Senator Angus King, an independent of Maine, said in a statement on Wednesday.

The White House said on Tuesday it would submit plans for the ballroom construction for review by the National Capital Planning Commission, which oversees federal construction in Washington and neighboring states, even though demolition had already begun.
Trump's White House staff secretary, Will Scharf, chairs the NCPC. Scharf told Reuters on Wednesday that he had not been involved in the planning for the ballroom and would be able to look objectively when plans came before the commission.

Trump should release a meme with Tesla solar panels going on the roof of the new addition to power it, and a big room full of Tesla power walls!

Then let them freak out over Musk, and speak out against renewable power... LOL

What I learned from the shrieking Dems/Left about the new WH ballroom:

It's just further proof that King Donald doesn't intend to leave the Presidency in January 2029! You see a King needs a lavish ballroom and this is what he's doing! He's abolished the Presidency and set himself up as King!

They're all so ridiculous AND hilarious.

Does anyone know why President Trump is being accused of being a king? It’s been a long time since most kings have had the absolute arbitrary powers he is evidently supposedly exercising.

It seems to me that what the Left should claim is that he’s one of those dictatorial tyrants like Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong, Fidel Castro, Pol Pot, Kim Il Sung, Erich Honecker, Nicolae Ceaușescu, Kim Jong Un, …. Oh, wait. Roll Eyes

Well, they have been calling him the National Socialist dictator tyrant Hitler for a long time, even claiming he is "literally Hitler."

Yes, of course, because they can conveniently forget the Socialist part of the National Socialist German Workers' Party.

And not to mention the fact that literally every type of atrocity committed by the Nazis was raised to a pinnacle of performance by the Communists. But they certainly wouldn’t want to remember any of that either.

Looks pretty non-hideous to me. What's hideous are the huge chintzy rental tents set up on the lawn, something that Trump has stated doesn't befit the office of President:

and our favorite token Hakeem Jeffries is now threatening anyone who makes a private donation to help fund this project

Jeffries Isues Warning to Donors

Is That a Threat? Hakeem Jeffries Issues 'Warning' to Anyone Behind Trump's White House Ballroom

Democrats have made lawfare an integral part of their party platform. After President Trump left office in 2021, Democrats spent years waging legal war against him.

New York AG Letitia James vowed to make a name for herself by prosecuting President Trump, vowing to "get" the former President and going so far as to try and seize his properties. Frank Luntz warned her that such a move would make Trump more popular with voters. Luntz was right, and now James is facing charges of mortgage fraud.

The Left is calling that prosecution a "weaponization" of our justice system. That's adorable for a variety of reasons, of course. Enforcing the law is not a "weaponization" of anything, and Democrats spent years telling us "no one is above the law."

What they meant by that, of course, is that Republicans aren't above the law. Democrats, on the other hand, are.

Rather than learning from this — after all, many people warned them that weaponizing the government against Republicans would backfire — Democrats are doubling down.

Case in point: House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries just vowed to investigate the people who made private donations to President Trump's White House ballroom project.

Jeffries said, without evidence, that the donors were probably using the donations to curry favor with the Trump administration.

"More likely, this is part of what Donald Trump has been doing since day one of his presidency: running the largest pay-to-play scheme in the history of the country. And probably soliciting donations from people who've got business before the United States government," Jeffries said.

"And all of this is going to have to be investigated. It will. All of this will have to be uncovered. It will. And these people are going to be held accountable, no matter how long it takes," Jeffries continued. "And that's a warning to all of these people participating in this scheming to manipulate taxpayer dollars and, of course, to destroy the people's house. The White House belongs to the American people. It doesn't belong to Donald Trump."

Right. And 75 million Americans voted for Donald Trump to be president. It's their house, too. Hakeem Jeffries went on MSNBC and threatened people who are making lawful donations to improve the White House.

And this is all hysterical political grandstanding. Previous presidents have made alterations to the White House. President Trump's plan for a ballroom was announced over the summer, and the part of the White House being "destroyed" is an overhang on the East Wing -- not the residence and not the West Wing. That ballroom will remain for future administrations to use. President Trump is not taking it with him when he leaves.

Unlike Clinton, who stole $28,000 of items from the White House she

But this is the best the Democrats can do. They can't run on policy. They can't run on issues. They can only attack and threaten.
