This person was not talking about the SSA and is not an SSA employee, She worked in the State of Missouri Refugee Re-settlement program run by the UN, State Department, and some others. She is talking about refugees, not immigrants. In the video above she does explain about the difference between them. Her claim is that the US government took in refuges, that are supposed to be temporary, and turned them into permanent citizens with SSN's, passports, etc. Presumably this was State Dept. operation. I have no idea if any of it is true, but it is not a random illegal alien walking into a SSA office and getting benefits.

Elon Musk considers 'DOGE dividend' that would send $5,000 check to all Americans following massive budget cuts

Elon Musk showed interest in an idea that would guarantee a $5,000 payment, or 'DOGE Dividend,' to every American to show off the $55 billion in taxpayer funds saved.

The Department of Government Efficiency revealed Tuesday that President Donald Trump has saved taxpayers a staggering $55 billion in less than a month.

DOGE claims the savings were found through a combination of detecting and deleting fraud, canceling contracts and leases, and selling assets.

Investment firm CEO James Fishback had an idea for how to make Americans aware of how much of their money was being saved.

'President Trump and @ElonMusk should announce a ‘DOGE Dividend’—a tax refund check sent to every taxpayer, funded exclusively with a portion of the total savings delivered by DOGE,' he wrote.

Musk replied, curious, but said that he 'will check with the President.'

Fishback added: 'American taxpayers deserve a 'DOGE Dividend': 20% the money that DOGE saves should be sent back to hard-working Americans as a tax refund check.'

'It was their money in the first place! At $2 trillion in DOGE savings and 78 million tax-paying households, this is a $5,000 refund per household, with the remaining used to pay down the national debt. Elon Musk, let's do this! This is how we rebuild trust in our government.'

The group - nicknamed the 'nerd army' - also ended grants, fired federal employees, changed some programs, and saved money with regulatory reforms.

'DOGE's total estimated savings are $55 billion,' read a message on the official doge.gov website, citing data since February 17.

It said users of the website could expect updates twice a week, promising additional information and improvements with time.

The savings were mostly made in the US Agency For International Development (USAID), the Department of Education, the Office of Personnel Management, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Agriculture.

Savings listed on the website features millions of dollars in canceled contracts for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training as well as ending subscriptions for Politico and other news organizations.

Elon Musk and DOGE's efforts to reduce government waste continue to capture the headlines as Democrats and government workers are protesting in the streets about the cuts.

Trump has defended Musk's efforts, telling Fox News host Sean Hannity that they talk frequently about the efforts by Democrats and the media to drive them apart.

'It's obvious, they're so bad at it. I used to think they were good at it but they're bad at it, because if they were good at I wouldn't be president,' he said.




Democrat protesters claim Musk is an unelected oligarch who should not be trusted to access data from the federal government.

On Monday, the White House clarified in court papers that Musk’s title was ‘senior adviser to the president’ and that he is 'not the U.S. DOGE Service Administrator.'

‘In his role as senior advisor to the president, Mr. Musk has no greater authority than other senior White House advisors,’ the court filing noted, adding that he had ‘no actual or formal authority’ to make government decisions by himself.

Trump has endorsed Musk's work as a result of his election mandate to cut government spending and reduce the federal workforce.

‘We got elected to, among other things, find all of this fraud, abuse, all of this horrible stuff going on,’ he said in the Oval Office last week.

So, what are you sighing about? Are you saying that a person who is a tax paying citizen but hates Trump and Musk and posts hatred and lies is not allowed to receive the $5k? Only folks who are MAGA can receive the money? Freedom of speech means freedom of speech, not freedom of only speech we like/approve.

In the scenario I described, note the irony identified from those who absolutely hate Trump (many insulting Trump voters for choosing 'money over principle') actually benefiting financially from the DOGE activities that they are protesting against.

Ok, so you hate the fact that they hate Trump. I get it, because so do I. Irony and all that. But, you have to agree, it doesn't change the reality that they, as taxpayers, are entitled to the same "refund" as we MAGA do. Anything less would be un-American.

I have to agree with you, if there’s going to be a refund it ought to at least go to all who paid taxes, if not everyone, regardless of politics or irony.

Honestly, I’d rather see the savings used to pay down the debt. When the government borrows money into existence to pay the interest on its debt the resulting inflation screws all of us.

Trust nothing you read or see unless you are able to verify through a reliable source… and even then, it may be wrong!

Trump is smart enough to deal with John Q public, Elon is too smart for that and I can see him struggling to deal with Hannity who's clearly not even playing the same sport. But this is a great interview.

DOGE Says $4.7 Trillion in Treasury Payments Missing Identification Codes
The payments for unknown items make government spending almost impossible to track, according to the agency.

DOGE said the Treasury Department has assigned identification codes called Treasury Access Symbols (TAS), designed to note which account a Treasury payment is linked to, which DOGE said was a “standard financial process” for bookkeeping. However, the codes were not assigned for trillions of dollars worth of payments as the field was considered optional, according to the agency.

“In the Federal Government, the TAS field was optional for ~$4.7 trillion in payments and was often left blank, making traceability almost impossible,” DOGE stated on the social media platform X.
“As of Saturday, this is now a required field, increasing insight into where money is actually going. Thanks to U.S. Treasury for the great work.”

According to the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, TAS codes are identification codes assigned by the Treasury to “an individual appropriation, receipt, or other fund account.”
It stated that all financial transactions made by the federal government are typically classified using a TAS code for reporting to the Treasury and the Office of Management and Budget.

The DOGE refund will be tax free hopefully. Not like Timmy Walz did here in Minnesota where he gave us back a pittance out of his billions of surplus and then taxed us on the pittance. Money that had already been taxed once of course. I'm usually against these refunds as I would sooner just have them lower my taxes than give me a couple hundred bucks. But five grand is something a guy can use to buy a nice shiny thing that starts with Benelli and ends with shotgun!

If they want to give me $5,000 of my hard earned money back I'm all for it as long as nobody is allowed to tax it. Not at the Federal level and not at the State level.
