Fake twister account or not. Why does an ex president nearly a decade out of office need a clearance. Enjoy your pension and be an elder statesman. Same question about all those former CIA guys who signed the Hunter laptop letter.

I left my old company after 19 years. and in order to get my final paycheck I had to turn in my laptop and my log in credentials were shut off end of last day. Why is this not a thing for all .gov employees. even the former CEO

Margaret Brennan still hasn't recovered from the election. Looks like she'll be miserable the next 4 years at a minimum. Big Grin

https://x.com/CitizenFreePres/...ally-miserable-as%2F

BRENNAN: What’s driving this?

SALVANTO: I will keep it simple, Margaret. He’s doing, in the eyes of the public, what he said he would do in the campaign.
There’s political value in that. In fact, 70% of people say he’s doing what he promised. That’s whether they approve of him or not.
Now, there’s another part of this that continues over from the campaign. There were words that he was described as being tough, being energetic. And he still is today in big majority numbers.
So as people take a look in these first few weeks, there’s been a lot of activity. They’re getting that general sense of governance, and that’s being reflected in these early numbers.

BRENNAN: So that’s perception. What about the actual policies? Roll Eyes

SALVANTO: Well, let’s start with the ones that are popular. And again, these echo a lot of what we saw in the campaign.
The idea of deporting those in the country illegally continues to be popular. We saw that in the campaign.
Sending troops to the U.S.-Mexico border. Again, majority in favor. We’d seen that in the campaign.
For his supporters in particular, the focus on ending DEI is popular. We’d seen in the campaign a lot of them thought those processes had gone too far.

DOGE cancels funding for Fauci museum exhibit
The Department of Health and Human Services canceled over $180 million in contracts overall

By Michael Lee | Fox News
Published February 9, 2025 4:37pm EST

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) canceled more than $180 million in contracts over 48 hours, including a nearly $170,000 contract for an Anthony Fauci museum exhibit.

"In the past 48 hours, HHS canceled 62 contract [sic] worth $182 million," The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) announced in a Friday social media post. "These contracts were entirely for administrative expenses – none touched any healthcare programs. This included terminating a $168,000 contract for an Anthony Fauci exhibit at the NIH Museum."

https://x.com/DOGE/status/1887...fauci-museum-exhibit

The news comes as DOGE, led by billionaire Elon Musk, has continued to outline vast changes in government spending over the last few weeks, including a plan to eliminate the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and sweeping changes at the U.S. Treasury Department aimed at eliminating over $100 billion per year in entitlement payments to individuals with no Social Security number.

Seemingly no federal agency has been excluded from the reach of DOGE, with HHS being just the latest in a string of targets meant to eliminate waste from the federal government.

The Fauci exhibit was booked to be finished by July 2025, but has now been scrapped along with $182 million in other HHS administrative expenses.

Fauci has long been a controversial figure and has often clashed with President Donald Trump, who last month revoked the taxpayer-funded security detail for the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) that was requested for him in 2020 as he became the government’s public spokesperson during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I think, you know, when you work for government, at some point your security detail comes off and, you know, you can't have them forever," Trump said of the move. "We took some off other people, too, but you can't have a security detail for the rest of your life because you work for government."

Fauci was given a preemptive pardon by former President Joe Biden on his last day in office, which was meant to shield the infectious disease expert from feared retribution from Trump during his second stint in the White House, though Fauci was not charged with any crimes at the time of the pardon.

Before serving as the chief medical advisor to the president during COVID-19, Fauci served nearly 30 years as the director of the NIAID between 1984 and 2022.

He started his career at the National Institutes of Health in 1968, and was widely praised for his efforts to confront HIV/AIDs before becoming the government’s public face during the pandemic.

You just have to get your bearings there and use your common sense.

Anyone with a blue check has the ability to get paid by Twitter for the traffic they generate (lots of blue checks don't get paid, but for many of these people, money is the only reason they post on Twitter). Consequently, there are acres and acres of unethical people who will post ANYTHING to get you to click on their posts and say things, even if you're arguing with them. They say provocative things for that reason, or ask stupid fucking questions like "Some say that Nancy Pelosi is an asshole. Do you agree?"

Always verify claims unless you're very familiar with the reputation of an account. Never rely on name recognition. Do you know how many "Elon Musk" accounts there are on Twitter? You can name and RENAME your account just about anything you want, short of violence, and this includes- believe it or not- things which are highly racist or disgusting.

Until you get familiar with the way the grifters behave on that site, approach everyone and everything with suspicion. It's just like the world at large- you have to get savvy and street smart and that takes time.

With USAID slush funds now dried up, how long can CBS, CNN, ABC, MSNBC, NBC, et al, otherwise known as TASS-DNC, keep up their ruse?

I had no idea there even was a NIH museum? Why not do away with it?

My primary concern is not how many funds existed or programs were spending how much money.

I want them to follow that money, all the way to the end. If even $1 of that money made it back into the pocket of a government official that authorized or administered said program... immediate charges.

Well this didn't age well. Guess who funded the China Bat Virus and then refused to give the Senate oversight any documentation that was requested about the matter. Roll Eyes This agency needs to be sent to the dustbin of history.

Rand Paul's Questioning of Samantha Power About USAID to China for SARS-CoV Research

USAID gave Peter Daszak's EcoHealth Alliance $207 million between 2009 and October 2019, right when SARS-COv-2 began to spread.

https://petermcculloughmd.subs...rue&utm_medium=email

With revelations emerging about USAID’s spending spree on friends and pet projects, I was reminded of the following April 2023 exchange between Senator Rand Paul and Samantha Power, Administrator of USAID from 2021 to 2025. I vividly remember the vexation I felt as I listened to the recording on my evening jog the next day. Note how she repeatedly looks Senator Paul directly in the eye and insists that USAID has disclosed the grant documents he has repeatedly requested, even though he repeatedly admonishes her that he KNOWS she isn’t telling him the truth because he has never seen them.

Note as well that in October 2019, when USAID officially ceased funding PREDICT, papers like the New York Times lamented that, bereft of such funds, the program would not be able to predict emerging infectious diseases.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/1...t-usaid-viruses.html

A great deal of evidence indicates that this was precisely the time it became apparent that a novel SARS coronavirus was circulating in Wuhan, almost certainly the result of GoF research conducted as part of the PREDICT program.

In other words, PREDICT predicted nothing—it actually created the monster.

Yet another irony was a letter that Elizabeth Warren—the Supreme Self-Righteous Bloviator of the Senate (SSBS)—wrote on January 20, 2020 to the then Administrator Mark Green, demanding to know why PREDICT funding had been cut off.

I would bet a considerable sum that at least someone in USAID knew in October 2019 about the circulating monster that PREDICT had created with the assistance of the $207 million the agency had given the program over a ten year period.

The evidence is clear: USAID has long been a rogue agency that should indeed be brought under direct State Department Control with new, stringent transparency requirements about its activities and long prison times for people like Samantha Power who conceal the agency’s activities and then lie to Senators about them.

So... The USAID money was for:
Economic Development in North Sinai.
Job opportunities in Serbia.
Arts and Opera in Columbia.
All complete bullshit and that money could and should have been spent right here in the USA on any number of deserving projects. Like our infrastructure, health care, etc.
America for Americans, first and foremost! Go, DOGE, Go!

From a little research, it appears that Joel Emery posted Badkarma's post on his FB page as an original post.

https://www.facebook.com/joel.emery.stl

Emery is a blogger and his profile shows him to be founder of Ignite Strategies (formerly at Atomic Revenue) and an author, and that he studied "political economy" at Washington University.

His post before Badkarma1's was on how the Musk's DOGE operation has "compromised" the U.S. Treasury Department, and the one posted this morning is entitled "The DOGE Standoff: A Test of Executive Power and Judicial Oversight" (a real hand-wringing crisis piece on how Musk's guys could be rewriting/destroying the Treasury system). If you want to read, scroll down in the link and you'll see what is currently the first three posts.

Thank you, but all of that has been removed from this thread. It should never have been posted without a link. All news items and related commentary must always be accompanied by a link to the source, no exceptions.

Posting something like that and then asking if anyone knows where it came from is unacceptable. This is a way propaganda and falsehoods get spread and we'll have no part of such things here.

Anything of that sort which is posted without a link will be removed from the forum. If someone posts a news item sans link I do give them a chance to correct their error by asking for the link, but if they don't provide it PDQ, the "news" goes away.
