Sig2340, deep breaths. You are getting upset at a fellow SIGforum member for describing WHY that report is not more granular.

Of course there is a more detailed report, but it’s not this one. There’s the matter of personally identifying info, among others.

I don’t work in government, but I can understand the concept of a report… it generally summarizes things.

i'm not mad at Fed161, I'm mad at the viewpoint that it is okay for the UNITED STATES TREASURY to accept "pay this aggregate to Umptifratz" from, say AID, SSA or CIA, and the UNITED STATES TREASURY merely accepts that missive and pays it with no granularity in the UNITED STATES TREASURY's records.

THE UNITED STATES TREASURY is accountable for tracking every dollar in federal appropriations that is taken in and expended. It is NOT the responsibility to other agencies.

I've dealt with federal financial management for a long time, and if you want to know why DOD cannot pass an audit, this thinking is a major contributing factor.

Just some of my general thoughts about the DOGE process. I am glad this is being done and it's overdue. I hope they go through the entire budget and all of the agencies. However, if anyone dreams that billions of dollars of fraud is going to be found under every single rock that they look at, not going to happen. But do I think there will be some significant savings to the tax payers - absolutely. You may not be aware that regular audits are done of beneficiaries living abroad. Any country that has SS beneficiaries must agree to in person visits of beneficiaries by State Dept and SSA OIG agents who interview the the living abroad beneficiary and verify their identity. They also must agree to allowing us access to their death records data bases. Obviously, elderly beneficiaries are the main targets of the audits. I could cite more examples of things that are already in place.

Also, not referring to SSA, but sadly enough, a lot of the stuff that people sometimes say is fraud, is actually perfectly legal. For example, the funding that USAID did of transgender operas was perfectly legal. I have no doubt that Biden's desire to promote LGBTQ bullshit around the world was behind it. Congress has failed the American people by failing to put guard rails around agencies and to define their missions specifically and narrowly. For example, containing an ebola outbreak overseas would be a good thing to do, and it's in OUR interest to do it. Everyone knows that pandemics can spread world wide. If USAID were to concentrate on stopping pandemics overseas, I would be OK with that. But what USAID turned into was an outrage.

The MSM is doing all they can to undermine this administration but Secretary Noem is is not rattled at all and explains why these deportations are in the interest of all Americans.

No, you guys are going to have to learn : "No Affiliations with @JDVance"

JD Vance hasn't announce a thing. That's just a leech using his name.

Where's the link to the news source? You will find none.

Per Grok:
quote:
President Donald Trump did not cancel Barack Obama's security clearance. There were reports and discussions around the possibility of Trump revoking Obama's security clearance due to political tensions, but Trump himself denied these claims, stating he had never discussed or thought about revoking Obama's clearance. Additionally, no official actions were taken to remove Obama's Secret Service protection, which is a separate issue from security clearances, but also often discussed in the context of former presidents' security arrangements. The narrative around revoking clearances seemed to be more focused on other former Obama administration officials rather than Obama himself, as per various reliable news sources.
Be. Careful. You are spreading rumors and driving traffic to line the pocket of some lying asshole who is lying to everyone].

Always VERIFY these claims before posting them here

Right now, I have doubts. "JD Vance News" is not affiliated with the V.P. Nobody is reporting on this. Could very well be "clickbait" posting.

Here is a real post by Vance today:

I am looking forward to PDJT and the DOGE team to peel back the layers of who the “MULTIPLE RECIPIENTS” are, so we can see the names of ALL of the shit-bags who have enriched themselves at the expense of WTP.

What kind of fucking imbecile would not want this corruption exposed?!

If you want to find fraud, you don't look at THE BUDGET. The budget is nothing but a request for money and a general approval from Congress.

You look at the DISBURSEMENTS. That tells you where the money actually went, and whether the recipient was owed that sum.
