Evidently Z seems to think NATO membership is an option. If he gets that he will resign, how clueless do you have to be to think that could ever happen?

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

I am one of the very few who have actually been to Terlingua - in 1950´s a friend had a house there. Elvie Williams was a friend of my mother’s when Mom was attending Sul Ross State Teacher´s College in Alpine, Tx.

A lot of Korean War veterans were attending under the GI Bill, including Dan Blocker of TV fame.

Now, the school is Sul Ross State University

In my opinion, General Jack Keane gives probably the best explanation that I have heard of Zelensky's folly and Trump's strategy in this 11-minute clip. It is well worth watching.

Many are miffed Z wasn't included in initial peace negotiations. Surprised they weren't also miffed other interested parties weren't also included such as, military industrial complex and globlalists/uniparty/warhawks. Z is beholden to whoever gave him billions in the past, and was never going to do anything to make DT look good, even if making DT look bad leads to the end of Ukraine.

This war and the motivations for it is very complex beyond Russia wanting the pretty much now destroyed ground. The dims are likely interested in kickbacks and don't give a twit about lives lost or what happens in the end. Using this war as an entity to lessen DTs influence or status is now a part of it also, especially since they have so few avenues to mess him up.

DT would have really consolidated power with success in Ukraine, they aren't going to let that happen.

I say let these countries finance, provide troops, or even fight for Ukraine if that is their wish. The U.S. however should not NOT come to their aid if they make these reckless moves. ( Just my opinion)

Europe rallies behind Ukraine after Trump-Zelensky clash stuns world leaders

European leaders threw their support behind Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after his spat with Donald Trump sent shockwaves across the world, casting doubts over efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

https://www.france24.com/en/li...-world-leaders-aback

Ukraine's European allies, scheduled to meet in London on Sunday, voiced strong support for President Volodymyr Zelensky after Donald Trump ousted him from the White House and criticised him for being "unprepared" for peace with Russia.

The US president openly berated Zelensky on Friday for not being "thankful", and later accused the Ukrainian leader of "not being ready for peace" and having "disrespected" the United States in the "cherished Oval Office".

Here are some of the political reactions from around the world.

EU: 'world needs new leader'
European Union chiefs Ursula von der Leyen and Antonio Costa assured Zelensky that he was "never alone".

"Be strong, be brave, be fearless," wrote the European commission and council presidents in a joint statement on social media, telling Zelensky: "We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace."

The bloc's top diplomat Kaja Kallas questioned the United States leadership of the transatlantic alliance between European powers and Washington.

"Today, it became clear that the free world needs a new leader. It's up to us, Europeans, to take this challenge," she wrote on social media.

France: Russia the 'aggressor'
French President Emmanuel Macron said that Russia was the "aggressor" in the Ukraine war.

"There is an aggressor which is Russia. There is an aggressed people which is Ukraine," Macron told journalists, adding: "We were all right to help Ukraine and sanction Russia three years ago and to continue to do so."

He later went further to say that "if anyone is playing at World War III, it's Vladimir Putin", referring to Trump's accusations against Zelensky.

Germany: 'Never confuse the aggressor and the victim'
Germany's likely next chancellor Friedrich Merz assured his support to Zelensky.

"We must never confuse the aggressor and the victim in this terrible war," Merz said. The outgoing Chancellor Olaf Scholz also voiced support for Ukraine, as did Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, who added that Kyiv's "quest for peace & security is ours".

Hungary: Trump stood for 'peace'
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, one of the closest partners of both Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, thanked Trump for standing "bravely for peace".

"Strong men make peace, weak men make war," Orban posted on X.

Italy: summit needed
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni called for the United States, Europe and their allies to gather over the Ukraine war.

"A summit without delay is needed ... to talk frankly about how we intend to tackle today's major challenges, starting with Ukraine, which together we have defended in recent years," she said.

Netherlands: support 'undiminished'
"Dutch support for Ukraine remains undiminished. Especially now," Prime Minister Dick Schoof said on X, adding "we want lasting peace and an end to the war of aggression that Russia has started."

Poland: 'not alone'
Staunch Kyiv ally Poland moved to reassure Ukrainians after the dispute.

"Dear Ukrainian friends, you are not alone," Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on X in a post addressed to Zelensky.

Spain: 'stands with' Ukraine
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said his country would stand by war-torn Ukraine after the row.

"Ukraine, Spain stands with you," Sanchez, a staunch backer of Ukraine since Russia's 2022 invasion who pledged one billion euros of aid in a visit to Kyiv this week, wrote on X.

Russia: 'cocaine clown' Zelensky
"For the first time, Trump told the truth to the cocaine clown's face," said former president Dmitry Medvedev, now deputy chairman of Russia's security council, referring to Zelensky.

Kirill Dmitriev, one of Moscow's negotiators in the first high-level talks between Russian and US officials since the Kremlin sent troops into Ukraine, branded the spat between the two leaders as "historic".

UK: 'unwavering support'
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer vowed "unwavering support" for Ukraine and spoke to both Trump and Zelensky following their meeting.

Starmer "is doing all he can to find a path forward to a lasting peace based on sovereignty and security for Ukraine", a Downing Street spokesperson said.

Ukraine: Zelensky was 'right'
Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said Zelensky was "right" as "peace without guarantees is not possible".

"Ceasefire without guarantees is the way to Russian occupation of the entire European continent," Shmygal said.

Army chief Oleksandr Syrsky, who rarely makes political statements, affirmed the armed forces stood behind Zelensky, while calling for unity.

US Democrats: Trump 'doing Putin's work'
Senate Democrats accused Trump and his Vice President JD Vance of siding with Putin.

"Trump and Vance are doing Putin's dirty work," Democratic Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer posted on social media.

Other Ukrainian allies
Other Ukrainian allies also rallied behind Zelensky, with Canada saying Kyiv was not only fighting for its freedom but also "ours".

Denmark described its "pride" in supporting Ukraine while Sweden referred to Ukrainians as "friends".

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said his country will "stand with Ukraine" for as long as needed while New Zealand's Prime Minister Christopher Luxon praised Ukraine as "a proud, democratic and sovereign nation".

Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter said her country was "firmly committed to supporting a just and lasting peace, while condemning Russia's aggression against a sovereign state".

A Secretive Movement Known As '#AltGov' Is Openly Rebelling Against Trump And Musk From Inside Our Federal Agencies

Authored by Michael Snyder via TheMostImportantNews.com,

We have a government that is literally fighting against itself. The federal workforce has always been more liberal than the population as a whole, but in recent years things have gotten really bad. Prior to this year, Democrats had been in control of the White House for 12 of the past 16 years. Over time, leftists that were hired for key positions just kept hiring more leftists underneath them. In fact, it got to a point where DEI policies at various agencies essentially institutionalized the systematic hiring of leftists. By the end of the Biden administration, leftist domination of most of our federal agencies was virtually complete. But now we have a new administration that most of our leftist federal workers absolutely detest. Many of them have absolutely no intention of cooperating with the new administration, and some of them have started to openly rebel against it.

A secretive movement known as “#AltGov” has become the epicenter of that rebellion. Those that are involved primarily communicate through anonymous social media accounts and an encrypted messaging app…

Calling itself #AltGov, the network has developed a visible, public-facing presence in recent weeks through Bluesky accounts, most of which bear the names or initials of federal agencies, aimed at getting information out to the public – and correcting disinformation – about the chaos being unleashed by the Trump administration.

With 40 accounts to date, their collective megaphone is getting louder, as most of the accounts have tens of thousands of followers, with “Alt CDC (they/them)” being the largest, at nearly 95,000 followers.

The network has also formed a group and a series of sub-groups on Wire, the encrypted messaging app, to share information and develop strategies – as played out on Saturday.

Most people don’t realize this, but the “#AltGov” movement was very active during the first Trump administration.

Of course during the Biden administration it went away, because the leftists inside our federal agencies saw no need to rebel against Joe Biden.

But now it is back with a vengeance…

“#AltGov dates from the first Trump administration, but it’s even more needed now,” said an employee at Fema, the disaster response agency, who requested anonymity to avoid being targeted at work. She recently launched an #AltGov Fema account on Bluesky. With nearly 13,000 followers, the account says it’s dedicated to “helping people before, during, and after (this democratic) disaster”.

One member of the group that has dared to go public with her identity has explained what the purpose of “#AltGov” actually is…

The network is aiming to “expose harmful policies, defend public institutions and equip citizens with tools to push back against authoritarianism,” Lynn Stahl, a contractor for the Department of Veterans Affairs and member of the group, told the Guardian.

In other words, they want to use their positions inside the federal government to oppose the Trump administration any way that they can.

If it sounds like this is gross insubordination to you, that is because it is gross insubordination.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I'm really struck by both Rubio and Vance...both of whom were not great fans (or any fan at all) of Trump. Both of these guys are extremely defensive of Trump, extremely articulate, quick to answer, and without the Obama/Clintonesque hesitation with the "ah and uh" oratorial tricks to make one think that they are somehow above you.

These guys are good, and I truly believe that they believe and are not just playing the part.

The moment he stepped out of his car, he sent a clear signal that he thought he was in charge. He was not going to give in to wearing a suit like everybody else. He stepped out of his car thumbing his nose'

Several times he referred to European support. That is a double edged sword. If he has Europe, but not the US, the US then loses Europe.

In ultimate terms, he does not believe that we can let Russia prevail. They would then continue moving east, triggering WWIII. He is what is standing in the way.

He came to meet Trump believing that he, Zielinski, was the boss. He was sure of it.

He found out the hard way that he was wrong.
