My brother doesn't like to rock the boat, myself on the other hand would have called Jabba over to asked him if he was mentally challenged.

I'm just an absolute asshole when it comes to money and my time wasted if y'all have read my Yelp and Google reviews.

I see that the staff was discourteous and didn't pay enough attention.

I don't see where anybody made anybody do anything.

I'll-show-you by voting with my feet isn't being made to do anything; it's getting pissed and walking out. Not really the same thing. It is, of course, your prerogative. Annoying, though, when someone says you made me do it, she made me do it, devil made me do it. No, you did it.

Personally, if I don't like the service and I do want the product, I'll get someone else to help me.

I don't get pissy with internet reviews and making a stink; if I decide to go elsewhere, I go elsewhere. I don't bother much with internet reviews, as they're often full of those who are pissy enough to waste the time writing them: they want the world to know just how incensed they are. Everybody, look at me. Look at me looking at them. See me. See me pointing my finger at them. Feel indignant, for me.

Okay.

My local shop, where I purchase more than other locals, is quite vigilant about a sale. If I say I'll take it, whether it's an outright purchase or a lay-away (I do a lot of that), they're on top of it and won't leave it until it's finished, or will get someone else to finish, if necessary. In any event, they never leave the customer once that transaction begins, and I like that. There are other shops that can't be bothered, and I don't bother with them. They don't make me ignore them: I do it all on my own.

Yet here you are.

Is this going to be another one of those unlikely stories of yours?

There's just so many. None with zero evidence it ever happened. Pretty much every single one.

Every. Single. One.

I'm sure when you get shit on by a business, you don't mention a word of it to anyone. Roll Eyes

Since you seem so keen on not wasting time posting reviews to complain, why take the time to take a dump in this thread?

My sentiments exactly.
A free market works by people being satisfied with a product or service.
If that product or service fails to satisfy the consumer, well they have every right to warn others of the businesses down falls.
It's up to the business to take corrective actions.

Well I'll eventually give them a chance, until then. I'll pitch my bitch here.
sns3guppy, I don't need your approval.

I don't generally do business with businesses that "shit" on people, but if I don't like business, I walk away. If someone doesn't like a business and walks away, and they tell me that they were made to do it, it's bullshit. They chose to walk away. As do I.

What I do not do is scramble for the nearest social media to tell everyone what happened. Hurt them! They offended me. Be offended for me! Look everyone, I'm offended. You should be offended too! I'll show them. I'll badmouth them on yelp...maybe facebook, maybe a dozen other social media sites, and know what? Where's that "unlike" button? That's it. I'll unlike them.

Childish.

I'm glad my approval isn't needed. It isn't given.

There's no "dumping" on the thread. It plainly states that "gunstore made me walk out today." Made? Forced? Caused? No choice? If one had choice, could they have made the original poster do it? No. The original poster wasn't made, forced, coerced, or otherwise driven from the store but by his own free will, which is how the market works. He voted with his feet and his wallet.

I recently walked into a motorcycle shop with cash, and wasn't impressed with the service, and left. The shop does well, and I'm sure they have plenty of other customers to keep them afloat. My money spent elsewhere will never be known to them, nor, I suspect, would they care if I did make it known. Should I post it on yelp and other social media sites, make an effort to smear their name, and ensure the world knows that I've been wronged, ignored, not well served, and took money and left? Or should I just go buy elsewhere? I chose the latter. Some who make it more about them, choose the former.

I'm sorry the original poster didn't get good service. I'm indignant that he was forced to walk out. Enraged that he didn't get to spend his money. Incensed that he had to spend it elsewhere. Furious that an employee would ignore him. Saddened by the outcome. And now, drained of emotion, cathartically regenerated and ready to go spend my hard earned cash. If only the original poster had told me which shop not to spend it in...

Yet, I bet you can't wait to brag about some super aviation experience you supposedly had with zero evidence behind it.

The condescending attitude has become stale.

We get it, you're better than the plebes here.

Guppy uses the word “I” in his posts way too much. Very telling.

Maybe its cause I'm from the South but I'm smart enough to know they didn't escort him out against his will. Are you the only one that needs to point out a distinction?

We ALL got it the first time around.

WTF you getting at?

If I'm not mistaken I've had to point out your silly ass argument insertion tactics before. Excuse me, I didn't HAVE to, I chose to, so you understand me.

Now cut that shit out man.

Flash-LB,

Never bought anything besides ammunition at the fish store but the big one in Dundee I have. Pre pandemic in the Gun Library there was a Browning HP I wanted to look at. The two guys there didn’t even acknowledge my presence let alone offer to show it to me.

Even though it was not exactly what I was looking for if they had put it in my hands it would have gone home with me that day.
