Both of the tatortodd family cats do the annoying arm tap too. If I don't pet the alpha female she gets vocal. If I don't pet the beta female she keeps tapping and eventually "ups the ante" by licking the back of my knee which damn near causes my fat ass to levitate.

Sometimes we put her on the kitchen island with my wife on one end and me on the other. Our cat goes back and forth headbutting both of us. Think she loves it as much as we do.
