It's getting to the point where you can't buy ANYTHING on line without them begging for a "review".

"I recently got a free 5 gallon bucket with purchase at Horror Fright. What an AMAZING device. It's made of some sort of impervious material that allows you to carry virtually ANY material conveniently. I use it to transport Di-Hydrogen Oxide and it laughs at this highly corrosive liquid. I mean the stuff will dissolve STEEL and this honey badger of a bucket don't care! I've carried ammonium nitrate in it without incident and we all know how dangerous that stuff is! I don't know how I got along without this wonder tool. 5 stars (only because there's no option to select 10!)

I get pissed when they ask for a review before you've had a chance to use it.

It seems like everyone is asking for a review. Lately I have been seeing different doctors before having knee surgery. They all want a good review. Well, maybe you shouldn't have me wait an hour past my appointment time.

Frequently asked question: "How likely are you to recommend (our company/product) to others?" A: Highly unlikely.

- I rarely make recommendations to anyone (except on SIGforum).
- I think most people have already chosen a company/product in question and don't need my opinion.

I agree!

"Can you leave a review?"

Yes, for 20 dollars, 50 dollars if you want words. 100 dollars if you want coherent words.

Recently I was offered a loaner Pan America while my bike was in the shop. When I first got on the loaner, it would not start. I came back the next day and... It actually started! I took it on a short ride, parked it overnight and when I went to start it again the next day it was deader than Elvis. The shop came and retrieved it.
A couple of days later I was invited to give a review on my experience. Mad
I had a lot of fun with that!

I have a friend who gets paid to write reviews on Amazon. He constantly gets sent stuff for free, and many of the things he shills for, he's never used or received.

I probably get as many requests to rate sellers as the products themselves. It's pretty hard to find reasons to rate sellers when their items are stored and shipped by Amazon.

Just got one from Tesla on the demo experience.

Don't mind doing the short reviews, if it's something I'm interested in, the 5 to 10 questions all click a response, are fine.

It's the one you get into and it's just going on and on with what seems like endless questions.

Same here. I don't mind the requests for reviews when I buy something, but oftentimes the request is in my inbox before the product has arrived at my home! How the heck can I review something I haven't even received yet??? Mad

No

"Please tell us what we could do to make your experience better."

Stop interrupting me to ask for a stupid evaluation of your app.

Yeah, that one I find really annoying. Lately I've been getting requests for reviews about telephone or email interactions that I've had with the company. Geez, enough already! I just delete about 98% of them. Mad

I used to give reviews until Amazon had some issue with one, so I now only give reviews if I'm unhappy with a purchase or service.
