Is that a kitty on the fireplace?

Almost lost Roman, he had eaten something, they said it looked similar to steel wool and was breaking down. It shut down his digestive system. 6days and over $20k later he's good. He lost a few pounds but he is putting it back on quickly The pic with the blanket was last night

For some reason, my Golden has taken to climbing up into my easy chair every morning when I'm in the shower. I come out. There he is. I don't get it. He has his own couch to crash on but he's in my chair while I shower.

And when I bend down to ask him why...he burps in my face and smiles.

Ollie and I are super happy he is doing better. Ollie is also a 5 figure dog based upon his two surgeries after he was paralyzed.

What we won't do for our furry buddies.

My dog does this as well. My wife and I think it is because he just wants to be where I sit and if he is in my spot he knows the snugglefest will soon begin. Plus it probably has my scent as well.

Sorry but no pictures..... As of October 29th we inherited a mini schnausher due to the passing of owner.... Long time friend since middle 80"s... After his wife passed about 5 yrs ago he acquired "Bailey" as a companion.. He has been living in a assisted living facility since his wife passed....When ever he had to travel out of town / or needed a break / or a hospital stay. She came to stay with us... His 4 children all have large dogs that do not get along with Bailey... And the kids knew that dads wishes was that Bailey was to come to us and would be taken care of.....She will be spoiled rotten....... ....... drill sgt.

Update on Roman?

He's 100%, back to being a little asshole that will eat anything. We try and we are trying to be more vigilant. It's just me and the Mrs. in the house

Glad to hear.....they can be little shitz

Been a week full of ups and downs. Got to go backpacking with my son on Monday and Tuesday, and scored a new gun on Thursday. Wife and younger kids are out of town, and since we got back from hiking my oldest has been gone every night doing teenager things. Had an interview for a promotion at work Thursday that I put a lot of effort into but didn't get (but my best friend got it so I'm happy about that), and found out that another buddy is leaving to go to a different agency. Not depressed or anything like that...just a lot of change and a lot to process all at once, and nobody at home to do it with.

Thankfully, there's still somebody who loves me and is here for me...or at least trying to absorb my body heat, lol.
