I feel you. I got ambushed by my wife of 19 years with a police call during an argument and then served with a temp order of protection and dispossession. We have a 17 year old headed to Vanderbilt in Aug and a 7 year old, both girls. She did the two things she knew would hurt the most, separate me from my daughters and firearms. So beside being homeless and away from contact with my kids, I’m also disarmed. It’s ironic because she’s the only that has been physical in an argument. This will be both of our second marriages ending. I can’t believe I’ll ever do this again. I just turned 59. Sorry you went through it.

Chongosuerte, I remember your posts at the time. God bless your efforts with success.

I'm never sure if I'm sorry or congratulations is the appropriate response.

My first marriage lasted less then a year. She waited until I was out at sea for a week, cleaned out the apartment, and left. She had issues and I'm pretty sure if I had treated her like shit and slapped her around a little she would still be here but I'm not wired that way.

My 2nd wife was part of the couple my 1st wife and I were closest to. She was a witness for my first marrage and the 4 of us hung out together all the time. A few years later they split up. She moved back to Jax, and she started hanging out with me and my diving friends and things went from there. We’ve been together for around 35 years.

Your wife #1 and my #1 sound very similar, it did last quite a bit longer in my case but it did end the same.

I'm on number 3 myself. We just celebrated our 20th anniversary and I couldn't be happier.
But, never again. I don't want to deal with breaking in another wife. I'll just buy a dog to talk to and find a really understanding sheep Smile

Here's to the sunny slopes of long ago.
