I swear that every other person in line at the drive up ATM is either applying for a fucking mortgage or writing War and Peace on the 10key pad. There is no reason to be pressing that many buttons or taking longer than 30 seconds.

Well , they are probably checking their balance first , then transferring money from one account to another , then making a withdrawal . This after they enter the wrong PIN two times ....

McDonald's now has a double drive through line as their standard setup as they remodel their stores and you'd think it would help but all it does is make people jockey for position and act like asses trying to get to the window to pay.

^^^ Perhaps because of that, the local Burger King closed off the second lane not too long after putting it in.

This guy gets it.

The overriding sentiment in this thread are the people ahead of them, totally discounting the ones actually taking the orders. My experience has been mostly idiots working the store, not the customers.

I feel that those that take a long time in the drive thru have never been in one, or haven't eaten at the fast food restaurant. Because, heaven forbid the menu changed since the last time they stopped. I've also been noticing more times that people go through the drive thru and get their food then proceed to sit in the parking lot and eat.

I generally only go to McDs for coffee. But, it's still necessary to check.

I ordered a coffee with cream (no sugar). I've lost count of the number of times, I've started to pull away only to discover they got it wrong.

How freaking difficult is it to pour a coffee and add some cream? Roll Eyes

Preach it brother!

Whenever I visit my son, he and his wife love to go to eat at hipster quick serve restaurants (gourmet burgers, etc.) where you queue up to put in your order, then grab a seat.

I hate these places! Even if the food is good, my appetite is ruined because we spend 30 minutes waiting in line while self-absorbed kids chatter among themselves or are glued to their phones and don't have any idea what they want when it's their turn to order.

I shouldn't let it bug me, but it does.

10 years into retirement, I find myself 12 times more
patient than before

At this point in my life,
If I don't have four minutes to give a total stranger
That may have it a lot tougher than me,
It might be my time to check the fuck out.

I have learned to order coffee black, cream on the side. It's easier to catch their errors that way.

Similarly if I go through Taco Bell drive-through, I do not include sauce when I place the order, I ask for it at the pickup window after the attendant hands me the (so-called) food.

We went to the drive thru at the Bank a couple of days ago . Two lanes open but only one girl working both . The guy in the lane closest to the window had some kind of major issue so neither lane was moving . The wife said to just pull around and she would go inside .Well , she came out mad as hell . Two other employees huddled over the Drive Thru Teller and NOBODY was getting helped .One guy had the whole damn Bank at a standstill. We left and came back later .
