I just felt like joining modern times, security & game uses planned. The brand is Tacticam Gen 3, I think $5 a month for one, $10 for 2 cameras. That’s the cell plan.

I doubt if I’ll use them here, maybe just testing. There’s the deer lease in IL, then our semi-remote camp in Michigan.

I just did the online thing from Fleet Farm, pick up later today. They seem to be everywhere nowadays, security, game movements & study, remote & not.

Like I tell people, I just don’t see how Sasquatch could avoid them all.

I store some assets at a friend's property. There's no one there for days at a time. 2-3 times per year someone will dump trash, mostly yard waste at the site, Usually Spring & Fall. I did a bunch of research this past fall when they dumped ~35 bags of yard waste and a few truck loads of tree branches. I kinda settled on the Reolink below, but haven't pull the trigger yet. I was surprised how affordable they are, around $200, plus the monthly cellular fee.

I run the Cuddeback/Cuddelink cellular trail cameras strictly for one reason.
One $16 per month cell plan can service up to 24 remote cameras.
Other brands, I am aware of nothing else that can do that feature.

I’ve been using Spartan cams for several years now. They are left out year round. I currently have 9 cams with zero complaints. Pics and videos are super clear with high resolution. $240/year gives me 12gb of data. 9 cams works out to $2.22 per cam per month. I request a lot of videos during the season, so I probably use about 24gb of data. That is still less than $5 per month per camera.

I have had a Spypoint in my Cabin for close to 7 years now. It’s inside and plugged in. They have a plan that is free for like 50 pictures a month.
So it works for inside.

I had a Bushnell outside on the driveway to my cabin for 2 years it was pretty good but it finally succumbed to water intrusion and ruined the battery tray. I have not found replacement trays. Also not willing to to put money in an external battery by fear the water intrusion fried the whole thing.

I switched to a StealthCam Deceptor Max and this sucker blows the Bushnell out of the water in range for night vision and motion trigger.
The quality is amazing even without downloading the 4K image. I clearly get the license plate and depending upon where the sun is I get a clear shot of the driver and front passenger.

I can also get a current picture and video for a small fee. But I rarely use it.
I got 2 months out of the lithium battery pack and I bought a small external battery for it. It’s been going a month and has not lost any power according to the battery level bar which is broken into quarters. So looking forward to seeing how long it will last.

I am looking at adding a Tacticam Defender because it has a more surveillance style lens and is made to be mounted up high. That way I can have one closer to the cabin and will hit the barn entrances too.
