All the Kubota tractor threads PHPaul has posted have cost me money!
Actually, I have enjoyed the Kubota experience.
Got a wonderful deal on the Kubota 2011 BX 25.
Less than 450 hours on it in June.
650 hours on it now.

Ok, now I have a diesel tractor with loader and backhoe. Wait, gotta buy a double axle trailer.
Wait, gotta get bar tires on new wheels and skid plates. And a tooth bar. Oops, forgot the LED headlights and four LED light bars for the roll bar.

Oh, I know, get a bush hog. Spend more money.
How about a new cabin at the hunting property?

Ok, now dig 200 feet of trench for underground power at the new cabin.
Install a kitchen, build an outhouse.
Recondition an old wood stove
Dig a grey water dry well.
Transplant blueberry bushes.
It has been a FUN experience!

Now THAT'S a serrated blade !!! Great pics and enjoy that tractor.

I love my Kubota B2920 with loader and 63” snowblower. I have used it for excavating for both a large dog kennel, a gazebo and a long brick walkway.

I love my Kubota ZG222 zero turn mower that allows me to mow 2 1/2 acres in about an hour.

Looks like you're having a good old time. 200 hours on a machine is decent usage. I'd worry about insulating the inside of the wood building next! The dog sure likes it!

 
Nice tractor. After living in AZ for a while, I sorely wish I had bought a TLB rather than the traditional Kubota with FEL and 3 point hitch. I also have a bolt on tooth bar for my FEL bucket. It comes in handy, and is even handier to be able to take it off when you don't need it (for transferring gravel, etc.).

Mind telling us what just the tractor cost you at the beginning? Also Paul is the worst. He should be given the most atomic of wedgies.

Tractor was $10,500 in a private sale from father-in-law equivalent.
He was the original purchaser and did all the maintenance since new in 2011.

A cab tractor is impractical at the hunting property. With miles of narrow woods trails that are barely ATV width a cab tractor just won't fit. The property is in the DEC Forestry Management 480A program with a substantial reduction in property taxes so widening all the trails is impossible with the 480A regulations.

Insulating the cabin IS on the to do list, but certainly not at the top of the list.
Cabin is 700 sq. ft with both floors.
The wood stove will drive you right out of the cabin, even at sub zero temperatures.
And there is a endless/lifetime supply of free firewood on the property just from blowdowns.

Yeah first thing I thought of when I saw the pic of your wood stove is whoa that's pretty big. It appears a lot larger than the little one I have for heating my 1800' home, which it does with ease. House is really well insulated though.

I think all of us with tractors really enjoy using them. I have a Kubota L2501 but didn't buy a hoe with it simply because I doubt it'd be able to get through the rocks in most of the property, heck my excavator guy with his large Case TLB had a lot of trouble just digging footers for the crawlspace. The bucket, grapple, rear blade, landscape rake, and flail mower are getting plenty of use though.

We are planning on insulating the cabin if we use it enough to amortize the spray foam cost.
If we are still using it extensively say in a couple years, that is the plan.

In the time being, free firewood works.
70 acres of woods, there is always a blowdown and limbs across the ATV trails.

I'm in upstate New York.
Pretty state, the government/emperor and taxes suck.

And the stove isn't huge, it's the photo.
That unit was a wood stove insert (for a masonry fireplace) that I converted to freestanding last summer. Put it up on a tractor trailer wheel for a base and welded it in place. New fire bricks, door gaskets, new triple wall / double wall chimney and lubed the blower motor. I bought that wood stove new in 1980. BTW, that's Rustoleum BBQ Black paint.

Spray foam insulation would probably be a wise investment given your Winters in NY.

I get a lot of my firewood the same way, from cleaning up the trails, the balance from fallen or standing dead trees. Free is good!

I've enjoyed riding through NY a few times and you're certainly right it's a very pretty state. A lot of it reminds me of where I'm at here in northern WV.

OK I see how you adapted your stove from an insert nice job, and that's good location out in the room with the chimney running straight up.

The dog is a 2 year old female Olde English Bulldog.
She likes to eat...
We put her on the Jenny Craig diet, but the dog ate her.
Dog is 80 pounds now.

...and heading to 100 lbs:-) .But she looks like a wonderful companion.... so meh on her weight :-)

Cee, can you talk about the cabin? Did you buy a prefab, make it from plans or what? Just realized I have a spot I can put one at my place. It might be perfect as long as I don't get to over enthusiastic on spending $$$. What did your's cost too if you don't mind sharing that as well.
