...are great! Until you put one out to catch rabbits...and you get a skunk...and your dog finds it before you do. ![]() Thankfully he didn't get it too bad. The upside is that I discovered peroxide, baking soda, and Dawn works really well at getting out the stank. Now I need to dispose of the carcass and wait a few weeks before I can use the trap again.This message has been edited. Related tip: If you catch another skunk and get to it before the dog does, covering the trap with a towel or blanket will keep Pepe calm enough to transport him and release him in another spot. Nervewracking, but doable. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent. | |||

Use the smallest trap possible. Skunks are less likely to spray if they cannot raise a tail. | |||
