I can’t claim to be an expert at spelling but my devices have spell and grammar check that highlights potential errors.
I’m always surprised when people I suspect are much more highly educated than me can’t spell worth a shit.
In the dark ages when I was in school, poor spelling and grammar would count against your grade enough to get your attention.

It's a whole new world out there now. Not sure that's a good thing.

The worst offenders are Canadians with that silly extra "u" everywhere.
