Let me know when I need to send you $3 to cover the loss.

I'd be happy to support your Trump Farm!

Just tell her that since you now want $15 an hour, the price of eggs has risen 4 fold.
Maybe have a Biden voter price so they can feel so much better paying you a living wage.

Paul, I wish I had a friend like you locally. I'd happily buy up any leftover eggs you wanted to sell and happily keep my politicals to myself. There's nothing like fresh eggs, and voluntarily giving up on that because the source of the eggs doesn't like Joe fucking Biden of all people just boggles the mind.

We used to have acreage south of metro Phoenix with 60 Desert Gold peach trees that we weekly irrigated at 2am. They required hand trimming and thinning of the blossoms to create larger peaches. It was costly and time consuming hard work for my wife and I.

The peaches were always ready to pick on Memorial Day. We got flat cardboard boxes and asked $2.00 for a flat of about 30-35 peaches and we gave a free soda for every flat purchased. We'd have people offering $1.00 a flat. One night we had five trees picked clean by thieves.

Just so it wouldn't go to waste, we eventually offered the flats for free. Then people wanted us to deliver it to them so they wouldn't have to drive out so far...for FREE fruit.

We finally cut the orchard down and the dumbass people bitched that we didn't have free peaches for them anymore.

We get Bird of the Month trading cards with our free range eggs.

People- Had a guy at my garage sale offering 50% less for several items. I told him I'd give him $1 to just go away.

They’re about $5/doz. at farmer’s markets around here. I’ve been getting our fresh eggs from a nice lady at a farm about 20 miles from our place for 4 years now. $2.50/doz. They also have the best honey I’ve ever tasted—one of my favorite things in the world

Yeah but those are free range, free trade, non conflict, non GMO, non binary, gender neutral, peace and love, non blood diamonds eggs.

His are deplorable right wing racist fascist eggs!! Yuck!

Big Grin

True, except for the racist part. I have Red hens (Red Sexlinks) Black hens (Black Sexlinks) Black-and-white (notice the small "w"...) Hens (Barred Rocks) and an Americauna that lays green eggs.

Well, I guess it could be considered racist seeing as I don't have any straight white hens.

Sexist too, no roosters...

Same set up here only we do have a rooster and couple of white hens. Razz

We have a neighbor down the road that was really friendly until she saw the Trump sticker on the back of my truck and now says she is afraid of us. Roll Eyes

I hope that's what you pay someone who owns the chickens.

In store, I pay from $0.95~$1.50 dozen in the Supermarket.

We buy ours from a customer that stops in at our shop. Yes you can buy eggs from the super market for cheaper but there is a very noticeable difference in them. The "home grown" eggs have a better taste and consistency to them. It seems funny but you can tell a difference on the plate. Plus I can support a local producer instead of huge super store.

pre cooties, we bought from a couple different egg farms in the area,

all basically home grown vs store bought,

and you are correct, nothing is better than a farm (like home farm) egg,

the factory stuff you get in stores pale in comparison,

in this area they are $5-6 bucks a dozen,

and when you get those eggs with the blue/green colored shells , can't remember what breed lays them, they are fantastic,

till she asked the question,,,

he said Trump,
she cut the conversation short and was gone in 5 minutes,

I'm stumped. We get most of our eggs from a local farm. Good folks. Really what we care about most is quality and supporting the little folks. But now I have to adjudicate the farms politics? Crap, never even thought of doing that before.

If they support Hillary I can't get any more eggs? Hardly seems fair to me.

There's a house very close to me selling eggs and veggies all the time. They have a Bernie sticker on their car and a BLM sign in their yard. I don't buy anything from them. I'm sure losing my $5/week doesn't bother them. They likely are on welfare anyhow.

These go to eleven.

Could be one of the kids cars with the Bernie stickers?

Where I live you don't put a Trump sticker on your car unless you want some lib to destroy it.

Oh no, this is a young couple. They are clearly hippie types. They have a toddler running around their front yard with their chickens, naked (the kid and the chickens). They are definitely Bernie types and the BLM sign seals the deal.

Interestingly, my fiance won't let me do what I was thinking of doing. I was going to take half the eggs and leave a note, "I saw you had eggs and I don't have eggs. I took half your eggs so we are even. Thanks and Go Bernie!."

These go to eleven.
