We keep a small flock of laying hens and sell our extra eggs. We have a half-dozen regular customers who will wait until we have a dozen rather than eat store-bought eggs.

One of them hasn't been by lately, so Mrs. PHPaul called to check on her as her health is on the delicate side anyway.

Turns out, she's so offended by my "Impeach Biden" sticker that I added to my yard sign that she won't be buying eggs from us any more.

Darn. I was really counting on that $3.00 a week...

LMFAO.

Man, one, how easily do people get offended.

And two, who cares, the eggs dont have a political leaning, hell neither do the chickens.

Go buy your shit from the store then lady, where im sure there isnt a single republican affiliated.

I Commend her for her stance, even if its fucking stupid.

She told the Mrs. on the phone that "You're really nice people, I don't understand how you can't see The Truth."

So, since we don't agree with her assessment, we're not "nice" enough to buy eggs from.

Somehow, I'll manage to bear the shame...

She's a sweetie as a rule and can't seem to grasp that it's not about her, we just disagree with her political views.

Soon those $3 eggs would have been a bargain.

$3 for a dozen eggs?! Around here, they're going for $5-8/dozen.

I hope that's what you pay someone who owns the chickens.

In store, I pay from $0.95~$1.50 dozen in the Supermarket.

She sure showed you.

Some people just need to grow up a bit. I’d buy your eggs if I was nearby, and I wouldn’t give a rat’s ass what signs you had in your yard. It’s more about mutual respect and not being douchebags.

We buy ours from a customer that stops in at our shop. Yes you can buy eggs from the super market for cheaper but there is a very noticeable difference in them. The "home grown" eggs have a better taste and consistency to them. It seems funny but you can tell a difference on the plate. Plus I can support a local producer instead of huge super store.

True, except for the racist part. I have Red hens (Red Sexlinks) Black hens (Black Sexlinks) Black-and-white (notice the small "w"...) Hens (Barred Rocks) and an Americauna that lays green eggs.

Well, I guess it could be considered racist seeing as I don't have any straight white hens.

Sexist too, no roosters...
