Shipped a package Priority Mail from Milwaukee to Zumbrota, MN on Monday, 12/30. Sat in MKE distribution for three days over New Year's. Popped up in Minneapolis on Saturday and hasn't moved since. So much for 3-Day shipping. Last month I ordered a tool from a company in Chicago that took the USPS 8 days to go 90 miles.

Get my pies outta the oven! |
It sat because they're all gov employees and were off for Christmas/New Years. Meanwhile I was getting things in ONE day from Amazon during that timeframe.

One of our members here bought a Sig NOS mag from me a few weeks ago, and sent payment in the US Mail. Because of forecast bad weather here in western Montana I decided to go ahead and ship him the mag, early. I packaged it up, then dropped it off in a US Postal small "flat rate " box at my local post office. Flat rate with this small box, that weighed almost nothing was $11.00 to send . When the buyer picked it up at his local post office, they then charged him an additional $3.35 for it. WHY ????? I paid the cost to send it, took over a week to get there, and then they tack on more money ...total BS !

USPS has never been my favorite way to get things from A to B, but it seems a lot worse lately. Sent a package to Sumner, Maine which is 160-ish miles from me. A few days later, tracking shows it in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. It did eventually get there, but I imagine the guy that bought it thought he'd been scammed. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.
