"I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."

Alfred Hornik, Sunday, December 2, 1945 to his family, on his continuing duty to others for surviving WW II.

I really dislike it when my refrigerator shits the bed...on a Sunday...the day after I spent $200 at the grocery store. Mad

The amount of finger pointing is Way! Out of control.
This has to stop.
" Look what I figured out" is not worthy of more , to anyone.

If you want to be noticed , show us what you did to fix something.

Stop show us what you think is problematic.

It's boring as hell and annoying.

I really like the pastor at church, his presentation,
the messages he chooses, his delivery,
How he relates " The word" too every day life.

What I am not fond of is 15 minutes of
ancillary church "business" pre sermon
and 15 minutes of horrible singing, and the 15 minutes of
mingling in the narthex , post service.

Most Sundays it's a 50/50 decision on weather
to attend or watch on line.

A nudge from Bonnie most often has me attending.

I'm part of the ~10% of people whose body cannot digest garlic and depending on quantity it's anywhere from being extra gassy to flu-like symptoms. It's not an allergy as I've been tested for it, and I've done exclusion testing. There are two schools of thought on the inability to digest garlic:
1. It's the fructans
2. It's the sulfur

If it's the sulphur in just a few cloves of garlic I doubt you'd be able to eat broccoli, onions, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, etc. either.

I've never heard of this but thank God I don't suffer from it because I use a *lot* of fresh garlic. In fact I've found you can't have too much garlic in cooked food, if it calls for 2 cloves put in the whole head. Uncooked garlic is different use sparingly.

Don’t miss those at all. Hydrogen peroxide works pretty well as does a wet towel laid over them to moisten them to ease lifting off. You are fortunate to have children to assist.

Damp Dryer sheets, the softener does it's thing to loosen up the bugs.

People telling you how you would really like something you dislike, if you just tried their version of it....

If anyone mentioned scam calls and scammers I must have missed it. It's gotten so bad that not answering isn't an option. You still gotta listen to your phone ring 5 or 6 times (talking landline) unless you put it on mute.

So I just block our area code, since 90 % of the scammers spoof it. Most people we know call our cell so I don't miss many legit calls.

ZipRecruiter.

If you have to say your company name nine times in thirty seconds so they will write it down, the kind of person that needs for it to be said nine times is not who I would want to hire.

All 24 hour news stations offer a mix of opinion and fact. That's necessary because there is a lot of air time to fill. So they need to fill it with a lot of opinion. Many people seem to have trouble distinguishing between statements that are straight news worthy facts and statements that are obviously opinions.
